The self-powered mountable speaker bar may include a housing and a set of mounting features that allow the housing to be securely coupled to a vehicle component or other appropriate support. The rechargeable battery may be removeable and may include a set of coupling features such as spring-loaded tabs associated with complementary features of the housing, such as slots. The self-powered mountable speaker bar may include a wireless communication module that interacts with user devices such as smartphones. The housing may be waterproof, dustproof, and/or shock-proof.
