  • Patent number: 11438988
Abstract: A power management and smart lighting system is provided that enables efficient distribution of DC power to various building features, including LED lighting. The power management system includes an intelligent power supply unit configured to convert AC power drawn from a building load center into a deadband DC waveform. The deadband DC power generated by the intelligent power supply unit is then transmitted over power-with-Ethernet cables to a plurality of distributed intelligent drivers, each configured to intelligently power one or more LED troffers. The intelligent drivers may be daisy-chained to one another by the power-with-Ethernet cables, enabling a power-ring architecture. To enable easy control of the drivers, intelligent sensors can be distributed throughout the topology and connected to the drivers (e.g., via power-with-Ethernet cables) to enable a wide array of lighting control options.

  • Patent number: 11410124
Abstract: It may be determined that a material package has been used by determining that the material package has moved from a previously recorded location based upon location data corresponding to the material package and a beacon code. The location data may correspond to the material package and the beacon code being periodically reported by a beacon located proximate to the material package. Next, a weight of the material package that has been used subsequent to the material package being used may be received and, based upon the beacon code and in response to receiving the weight of the material package; the material database for a material package record may be queried. A remaining amount of material corresponding to the material package may be calculated based upon the received weight and data from the material package record found from the material package record.

  • Patent number: 11358830
Abstract: A robotic spooler may be provided. First, a first take-up section of a Capture, Cut, and Transfer (CCT) device may receive a longitudinally continuous material. Then, the CCT device may cause the longitudinally continuous material to be captured by a first spool adjacent to the CCT device, cause the longitudinally continuous material to be taken up onto the first spool, and to provide a first cut to the longitudinally continuous material. Next, the CCT device may transfer the longitudinally continuous material from the first take-up section of the CCT device to a second take-up section of the CCT device. Then the CCT device may cause the longitudinally continuous material to be captured by a second spool adjacent to the CCT device, cause the longitudinally continuous material be taken up onto the second spool, and to provide a second cut to the longitudinally continuous material.

  • Patent number: 11348707
Abstract: In various embodiments, a non-circular electrical cable having a reduced pulling force attributable to the exterior surface of an outer sheath, and method of producing the same is provided. In various embodiments, an outer sheath of the cable may comprise a first and second sheath layer, the second sheath layer being located external to the first sheath layer, and comprising a nylon material configured to reduce the pulling force necessary for installing the cable. In various embodiments, the first sheath layer may be extruded using a tube extrusion method into a substantially circular shape, and the second sheath layer may be extruded using a pressure extrusion methods onto the exterior surface of the first sheath layer while maintaining the at least substantially circular shape of the sheath. The sheath may then be pulled onto the surface of a plurality of conductors to form the non-circular electrical cable.
