Abstract: Enveloping machine for enveloping plates for electric storage batteries, comprising a storage for storing plates for electric storage batteries, and a manipulation station for manipulating the plates, which comprises a gripping device for separately picking up the plates from the storage and for depositing them at an enveloping station, which also receives a separator strip in order to enclose the plates with the separator strip itself. In addition, the gripping device comprises a movable trolley actuated to translate between the storage and the enveloping station, and a rotary head mounted on the movable trolley and actuated to rotate between a grip position, in which it picks up the plates placed vertically in the storage, and a release position, in which it deposits the plates horizontally on the enveloping station.

Abstract: Machine for continuous casting of a lead alloy for forming grids for plates of electric storage batteries, which comprises a rotary drum having an external peripheral surface with a plurality of grooves obtained according to the grid design to be made and a sliding block coupled in sliding relation with the external surface of the rotary drum and with a distribution duct obtained in order to insert the molten lead in the plurality of grooves. The plurality of grooves comprises circumferential notches and transverse notches that meet in respective vertices. At the vertices and within the circumferential notches, a plurality of studs are placed that are intended to shape corresponding corners of smoothed form of the grids.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for shearing a metallic belt from which electrodes of electric accumulators are formed. The apparatus includes a cutting device able to shear a metallic belt advancing along a sliding path, a first slider positioned upstream of the cutting device and a second slider positioned downstream of the cutting device. A handling system drives the first slider and the second slider cyclically with corresponding outward and return strokes, in order to change the length of the sliding path in such a way as to stop cyclically successive portions of the metallic belt at the cutting device, maintaining constant the advancement velocity of the metallic belt upstream and downstream of the cutting device.

Abstract: Machine for obtaining cells for electric storage batteries, comprising an apparatus for feeding two continuous strips of dielectric material, a first and a second apparatus for distributing first electrodes of the same polarity and a third apparatus for distributing between the two strips second electrodes with opposite polarity with respect to the first electrodes. The machine further includes a folding head which receives, from the feeding apparatus, the two strips with the second electrode interposed, and is movable between a first position in which it receives a first electrode from the first distribution apparatus, and a second position (B), in which it receives a first electrode from the second distribution apparatus, in order to form a stack of composite layers alternated with the electrodes.
