    Abstract: A universal mounting (1) for a vehicle rear view mirror (2) adapted to fit on a mirror arm (4) of any cross-section comprising a mirror arm engaging surface (3, 8, 18) and clamping means (5), in which the clamping means are adapted to extend around or through a mirror arm (4) with which the mounting is to be used, and to urge the mirror arm engaging surface (3, 8, 18) against said mirror arm (4), and in which the mirror arm engaging surface is adapted to engage mirror arms of any cross section.
