Abstract: Designing garments that include brassiere cups can be challenging due to the natural fluctuation of a woman's breast size, as well as a possible disconnect between the size of her breasts and the size of the rest of her body. The high range of size variability places pressure on stores to stock inventories that include great ranges of sizes. This places an inventory risk to the store, since rarer sizes may never sell. The disclosed garment addresses these issues by including a fit-adjustable brassiere portion. The cups of the fit-adjustable brassiere portion include fit-modifying panels that increase their flexibility and elasticity. The rear side of the fit-adjustable brassiere portion includes a back adjuster with highly elastic regions that enables the brassiere portion to fit a broader range of chest sizes. Each of these features give the garment a more universal fit and enable stores to carry fewer sizes.

Abstract: The disclosed garments are designed to address the need for athletic upper body garments that do not create or highlight bulging in the wearer's body. These garments comprise an advantageous bottom edge that is defined by a fold crease rather than an elastic band. Methods of making the garments are also disclosed herein.

Abstract: The upper body garments disclosed herein include shoulder straps formed of a woven tubular material flattened into a double-ply fabric. The woven tubular shoulder straps have advantageously high recovery. The upper body garments also include a torso-encircling main body portion with a breast supporting region coupled to a body strap. The body strap is formed of a circular knit, tubular material flattened into double-ply fabric. The woven tubular shoulder straps are coupled to the circular knit, tubular body strap. In some embodiments, the weft yarn of the woven tubular shoulder straps can have different material properties than the warp yarn of the woven tubular shoulder straps. Methods of making the upper body garments are also disclosed herein.

Abstract: Designing shapewear for special occasion garments with low cut necklines and back lines can be especially challenging. The challenge lies in constructing a garment that effectively shapes the wearer while simultaneously eliminating significant amounts of material from the chest and/or back region. Disclosed herein are shaping garments designed to be worn underneath garments with low cut back lines. The shaping garment includes a space in the back shaping region on its rear side, such that the shaping garment is not visible beneath an ultra low-back special occasion garment. A removable back adjuster can be used to bridge the space to provide additional shaping support when ultra low-back mode is not required by the special occasion garment.

The activewear garment disclosed herein has a rear access space that address the limitations of existing one-piece garments. The rear access space is located at a wearer's lower back and may be widened to an extended position to allow for easy restroom use. The rear access space solution provides the wearer with security and comfortability during normal use and prevents the need to remove the entire garment to use the restroom.

Abstract: Free cut edges on undergarments help to minimize the appearance of visible panty lines. However, typical free cut undergarments are flat and do not conform to the shape of the body. The undergarment disclosed herein has free cut edges and a gusset panel that addresses the limitations of existing free cut undergarments. The gusset panel is gathered along its left and right edges using elastic thread or elastic bands. The gathering provides elasticity and shape to the gusset panel, and limits the extent to which the gusset panel slides and becomes displaced on the wearer.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a reversible neckline shapewear garment that can be worn forwards or backwards, depending on the wearer's preference. The reversible shapewear garment described herein includes two necklines, wherein the first neckline may extend under the wearer's breasts and the second neckline may extend across or above the wearer's breasts. Advantageously, this reversible garment may be worn backwards or forwards by the wearer while contouring to the natural body without creating visible lines or bulges of fabric or losing shape. Also disclosed herein are methods of assembling and wearing the reversible neckline shapewear garment.

Abstract: Various implementations include a bounce-limiting upper body garment, such as a brassiere (or bra), and methods of making the same. The bounce-limiting garment prevents breast tissue of a wearer from moving upwardly and side to side, which prevents bouncing of the breast tissue. The upward movement of the breast tissue is prevented by applying pressure by the garment on or just above the upper breast tissue, and the side to side movement of the breast tissue is prevented by applying pressure by the garment along lateral sides of the breasts.

Abstract: The garments disclosed herein have integrated gripping technology to grip the body of the wearer over large interior surfaces. The distribution of gripping technology throughout the garment gives increased freedom of body movement and reduces bulkiness over conventional garments, while also allowing for free cut edges. Furthermore, the dispersion of the gripping technology over the majority of the garment eliminates the problem of polymer strips and beading digging into the skin. Slip garment embodiments are disclosed herein that include a lower region having an interior surface with exposed elastic threads configured to directly contact the wearer. The slip garment embodiments include a free-cut lower edge. The slip garment embodiments can be constructed using cut and sew methods.

Abstract: Some shapewear and other similar undergarments are equipped with an open gusset, which provides an opening at the crotch region to allow the wearer to use the restroom without removing any garments. A typical double gusset construction requires two hands to pull apart both layers in order to use the restroom, which can make using the restroom more difficult for the wearer. The stretchable gusset disclosed herein addresses the limitations of existing gusset constructions. The gusset panel is fixedly or seamlessly attached to the front body panel and fixedly or seamlessly attached to the back body panel. An access space is formed by leaving at least a portion of a lateral gusset panel edge unattached to any other portion of the garment. The access space can be widened with one hand due to the highly stretchable characteristics of the gusset panel.
