Abstract: A transcription provider is presented with an audio recording created using one or more recording devices. A transcriptionist using proprietary computer software records at discrete intervals both the position of the audio playing for the transcriptionist and the position of the cursor in the document being typed by the transcriptionist, thereby creating both a completely typed document and an audio map. The completed document may be further processed such that each word is matched to its corresponding audio position using the information acquired from the audio map and the matched word may then be put into a separate document as a hyperlink containing meta-data that points to the exact matching audio position. By simultaneously tracking the progress of audio playback and transcriptionist progress within a document, the transcriptionist is then able to display an interactive version of the completed document.

Abstract: A method and system in which a transcription of multi-party communication is provided. A plurality of speakers are recorded using any of a variety of recording devices. A copy of the recording is processed through a diarisation process to create a final diarisation product and a second copy of the recording is processed through a transcription process to create a final transcription product. The final diarisation product is used to differentiate individual speakers of the plurality of speakers in a final transcript. The final transcript and audio samples of each of the voice prints identified through the diarisation process are presented to a reviewer to determine the identity of each of the differentiated individual speakers. The identity of the each of the differentiated individual speakers is then inserted into the final transcript.

Abstract: A method of dictation is described which, after transcription, integrates video into text at locations designated by the user. A user collects audio and visual information using an application that has been installed on the user's mobile device. The user designates, using the application, the desired location of the video files within the audio file. Both the audio and video information are uploaded to a transcription provider. The transcription provider uses transcription software to transcribe the audio files into text, the transcription software being able to identify the transcriptionist as to the location within the audio file each video is to be inserted. The transcribed document with integrated audio and video is then delivered back to the user.

A user dictates information from any location, uploads that audio file to a transcriptionist to be transcribed, and the transcribed material is automatically delivered into a central record keeping system, filed with the appropriate client or matter file, and the data stored in the designated appropriate fields within those client or matter files. Also described is the recordation of meetings from multiple sources using mobile devices and the detection of the active or most prominent speaker at given intervals in the meeting. Further, text boxes on websites are completed using an audio recording application and offsite transcription.
