Abstract: A device for use within a production conduit is disclosed. Generally, the device comprises a body attached to a work string. A deflection member, operatively attached to the body, is included for allowing the deflection of a body mandrel. An aligning spring for aligning the device with a gas lift pocket within the production conduit is included along with a tension adjusting member used for creating a tension in the aligning spring. The device may further comprise a sleeve disposed about the deflection member so that the deflection member is held in a rigid position, with the sleeve being selectively attached to the body. A method for lowering a bottom hole assembly containing a gas lift valve into a side pocket gas lift mandrel is also included.

Abstract: A device for cutting a wire line is disclosed. Generally, the device comprises a tubular member having an inner diameter therethrough for placement of the wire line. A power mandrel is associated with the tubular member. A housing is operatively associated with the mandrel. Also included will be a rotatable cutting blade pivotally attached to the housing, and selective attachment means (operatively associated with the mandrel and the housing) for selectively attaching the mandrel and the housing together. The device may contain an activating member for activating the rotatable cutting blade into engagement with the wire so as to cut the wire. The device may further comprise a wire wedge member, positioned within the mandrel slot, that is adapted to wedge the wire into engagement with the mandrel. In one embodiment, the rotatable cutting blade comprises a disc member having a channel therethrough for receiving the wire, with the channel having sides contoured to cut the wire.

Abstract: An apparatus for use in an oil and gas well bore is disclosed. Generally, the apparatus comprises of a mandrel and a housing slidable on the mandrel. The apparatus will also include an engaging member for engaging the walls of the well bore. A spring disposed about the mandrel urges the mandrel into contact with the engaging member.

Abstract: A well testing valve for obtaining a pressure build-up survey from a well bore intersecting a reservoir, the well bore containing a landing receptacle, is disclosed. The well testing valve comprises locking means for locking the well testing valve in the landing receptacle, valve means for selectively opening and closing the well bore. Also included is a rotational power source including a control means for selectively opening and closing the well bore, and recording means for recording the bottom hole pressure and temperature.
