    Abstract: This invention relates to a child-resistant dispensing closure for fitment to a container. The closure has a base portion and a cap portion hingedly connected thereto. This child-resistant features includes an elongated, flexible, resilient post which extends upwardly from the base and which has an enlarged upper end. When the cap is brought to the closed position, the elongated upper end passes through an aperture in the cap top wall and assumes a position which interferes with the opening of the cap.
