Abstract: A magnetically mountable firearm or sporting instrument holding device of relatively small compass which is readily removable and portable, and can be utilized for providing a convenient place for hunters and sporting enthusiasts to rest their guns and sporting instruments upright on the outside of their car or other metal surface, and to protect that surface from scratches. The magnetic portable firearm or sporting instrument holding device generally includes a universal retaining member for supporting firearms and other sporting instruments having two opposite ends, the first end of which constitutes a recessed receiving end with inwardly tapered arms for guiding the instrument in place, and the second end comprising a common or multi-component magnetic mounting base. The mounting base may include a joining platform collar to orientate, mount, secure, and support the retaining member, and prevent twisting of the magnetic element of the mounting base.
Abstract: An apparatus for securing a trash bag in a container is disclosed, where the apparatus has a removable and replaceable scented bag retaining element which extends outwardly from the main body of the apparatus. The main body has a pair of spaced channel arms that receive, guide and support the retaining element in proper position against the main body, and the replaceable scented retaining element has a releasable locking tab which is received by and locks within a slot in the main body of the apparatus. A central membrane of the retaining element has a number of slits that form a number of flexible flaps which deform when pressed to received and retain the trash bag. The main body is adhesively mountable to the outer surface of the container.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for securing a trash bag in a container is disclosed, where the apparatus has a substantially flat main body. The main body has a front surface and a back surface and the back surface has a mounting member attached thereto. A retaining tab extends substantially perpendicular from the front surface of the main body. A central membrane is located on the retaining tab and has a number of slits which form a number of flaps in the membrane, which deform when pressed to received and retain the trash bag.
