Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for separating particles using ultrasonic standing waves which are switched between two different frequencies. A second order harmonic standing wave is used together with the fundamental standing wave. If the particles are exposed to the fundamental standing wave, the forces act to collect particles at the center. If the particles are exposed to the second order harmonic standing wave, the forces act to collect particles at the two pressure nodes at the sides. By switching the frequency between the second order harmonic standing wave and the fundamental standing wave, particles with different properties will be exposed to different accelerations and are separated into two streams.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining information in a handheld or pocket type electronic device, which method comprises the acts of recording a first determination of information which is made via a user interface, presenting selectable information types so that they are directly selectable, which presentation takes place as a result of the first determination of information being finished, recording a choice of an information type, presenting a user interface for determining information in response to the choice of information type, recording a second determination of information which is made via the user interface, and of automatically linking the second determination of information to the first determination of information as a direct result of the recording of the second determination of information.

Abstract: A handheld or pocketsized electronic apparatus, such as a mobile telephone, having a display unit and a touch surface that is position-sensitive in a first and second direction for control of the electronic apparatus; the display unit having a display area taking up most of the front side of the apparatus and the touch surface being sufficiently narrow to fit on the side edge of the apparatus and curved in the first direction to convex shape, thus making it simple for a user to control the apparatus with one hand, without the display being hidden, and in an ergonomically correct manner, whereby control of the apparatus is attained without the use of a keyboard or similar input device.
