Patents Assigned to Sperian Welding Protection AG
  • Patent number: 8321962
Abstract: An adapter system for a protective mask (2) serves for movably attaching a protective mask (2) to a helmet (1), wherein the adapter system includes two individual adapters (3), which on the one hand serve for coupling to a connecting device (11) of the helmet (1) by means of a helmet coupling (31) and on the other hand for attaching to the protective mask (2) by means of a mask coupling (37), and the adapters (3) each respectively have a swivelling joint (34), around which a protective mask (2) attached to the adapter (3) is capable of being swivelled. In doing so, the adapters (3) each respectively include a swivelling arm (35) capable of being swivelled relative to the swivelling joint (34), wherein the swivelling arm (35) is adjustable in its length.

  • Publication number: 20110023205
Abstract: A welding protection mask (1) includes a structural part (2) with a viewing opening (3) for the acceptance of a filter element (5) as a visor. To this end at least one insert (6) is designed at an outer surface of the structural part (2) other than the area of the viewing opening (3), which is insertable into the structural part (2) and which covers a section of the outer surface of the structural part. Thereby it is possible to individualize the welding protection masks (1) with limited effort and cost.

  • Publication number: 20090051834
Abstract: An optical protective filter (1, 3) includes at least one first and one second partial lens (1, 2), wherein the first partial lens (1) includes a flexible substrate (4). On the substrate (4), a thin film filter (2) is applied, and the thin film filter (2) comprises at least one metallic layer (8) with a layer thickness of between 2 nm and 100 nm. The substrate (4) in the completed protective filter, thanks to its flexibility, is bent into the final shape as a whole; this in contrast to such lenses, which while comprising a curved shape and curved surfaces, have been ground or cast into this curved shape.

  • Publication number: 20080068521
Abstract: An electro-optical glare protection filter for e.g. a protective mask for welding comprises at least two successively arranged liquid crystal cells (20, 30) of the type “twisted nematic” (TN) with polarization layers (21, 25, 31, 35), wherein the polarization directions of two respective polarization layers (21, 25, 31, 35), which are allocated to a liquid crystal cell (20, 30) are respectively twisted in relation to one another. Hereby the polarization directions of two respective polarization layers (21, 25, 31, 35), which are allocated to a liquid crystal cell (20, 30) are uncrossed, i.e. twisted by an angle different to 90° in relation to one another.
