Abstract: A condensing zone is arranged downstream of the drafting apparatus of a ring spinning machine, through which condensing zone an air permeable transport belt transports the drafted fiber strand. A cleaning element is arranged at the transporting element, which cleaning element takes the form of, for example, a cleaning roller, and which is pressed using a light pressure onto the transporting belt. The rotation direction of the cleaning roller preferably runs in the opposite direction to the direction of motion of the transport belt. The driven bottom roller of the front roller pair of the drafting apparatus can serve as a cleaning roller.

Abstract: An opening roller for an open-end spinning arrangement is provided with a combing ring, which is slidably mounted onto a base body and is supported between two clamping surfaces. In order to fix the combing ring radially to a cylindrical guiding surface of the base body, the combing ring is provided with a centering surface on its inner circumferential surface. The combing ring has stopping surfaces on its end sides, which are arranged to engage the clamping surfaces. The centering surface is limited to an end area of the inner circumferential surface. The part of the inner circumferential surface of the combing ring which is located outside of this end area is free from counter-surfaces of the base body. As a result of this arrangement, the seat-engaging surfaces are on the one hand very short, while on the other hand various embodiments of combing rings can be used.

Abstract: In the case of a drafting unit for a spinning machine comprising several drivable bottom rollers, it is provided that the feeding bottom roller is constructed as a sleeve which can be connected with a drive shaft by coupling devices. The coupling devices comprise a swivelling lever which can be applied radially to the drive shaft and which engages in a catch of the drive shaft. The swivel shaft of the swivelling lever is arranged on the sleeve.

Abstract: In the case of a spinning machine having several spinning stations for the spinning of slivers into yarns, the slivers are transported from cans to the spinning stations by transport devices which comprise transport belts. The transport belts are provided with tension inserts which are covered by the closed smooth lateral edges of the basic material of the transport belts.

Abstract: In the case of a drafting unit for a spinning machine comprising several top rollers and bottom rollers, continuous cleaning belts are provided which are arranged and held in such a manner that, because of the inherent weight of at least one of the deflecting rollers, they are tensioned, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, are brought to rest against the top rollers or bottom rollers.

Abstract: A textile drafting apparatus of the type having upper and lower drafting rollers forming a plurality of roller nips for travel therebetween of a textile strand includes a carrier member for adjustably supporting the upper drafting rollers. The textile drafting apparatus includes a force-applying member for applying a downward roller nip force through the carrier member to the rollers. The force-applying member is intermediately transversely offset from the longitudinal center line of the carrier member for permitting access to attaching studs for sliding of the attaching studs in longitudinal slots on the carrier member to adjust the position of the upper drafting rollers in the carrier member. According to another aspect of the present invention, the textile drafting apparatus includes a template device for positioning an upper drafting roller at a predetermined spacing from the pivoting shaft of the carrier member.

Abstract: A device for interrupting the feed of a roving to drawing frames of a thread spinning machine of the type wherein each drawing frame comprises a plurality of pairs of upper and lower drawing rollers, of which the lower drawing roller, located on a roving in-feed side of the drawing frame, is provided with a clamping segment for interrupting the roving feed in a released position thereof in response to a broken-end detector, which monitors the presence of a spun thread, is improved by the provision of a suction device, associated with the drawing rollers on a thread formation side of the drawing frames, for collecting rovings present in a drawing frame when the roving feed thereto is interrupted. In accordance with a perferred embodiment, the suction device comprises suction tubes which are mounted for movement away from the drawing rollers and lockable in respective operating and nonoperating positions.

Abstract: A draw frame device for spinning machines is provided which includes a preassembled auxiliary draw frame stand formed of a hollow longitudinal pipe member having a plurality of supports welded thereto. The supports are configured for holding supporting rods for supporting upper rolls and loading arms, as well as for supporting lower rolls of a draw frame. Adjustable fastening means are provided at each of the respective opposite ends of the longitudinal member for adjustably connecting the preassembled auxiliary draw frame stand to a hollow longitudinal draw frame stand member of a spinning machine.
