Abstract: A waterslide capsule assembly is operable to fluidly communicate with a waterslide flume to contain a rider and release the rider into the flume. The waterslide capsule assembly broadly includes a capsule and a sliding access door. The capsule at least partly defines a capsule chamber to receive the rider, with the capsule presenting opposite capsule ends, a longitudinal entry opening, and an exit opening. The access door is slidably mounted relative to the capsule and slidable between a closed position and an open position.

Abstract: Leisure and amusement slide elements and systems are disclosed. In one embodiment, a waterslide includes a bowl having a curved sidewall, two or more rider entrances for enabling riders to slide into the bowl and to circuit at least a portion of the bowl, and a receptacle for forming a pool of water to receive a rider exiting the bowl. A nozzle is provided for directing a jet of water to bias a rider towards an edge of the pool. Another slide apparatus includes a bowl having upper and lower ends and first and second entrances distinct from one another and spaced apart from the bowl lower end. The first and second entrances are configured to bias all users of the first and second entrances to travel about at least a portion of the bowl in a common direction, whether clockwise or counter-clockwise.

Abstract: Amusement slides having moving sections are disclosed. In one embodiment, an amusement slide includes a first section, a second section, and at least one actuator for moving the first section from a first state to a second state. The first section has a rider passageway therein, and the second section has a rider passageway therein. The second section passageway is in communication with the first section passageway such that a rider may pass from one of the passageways to the other of the passageways. A first slide path is defined while the first section is at the first state, and a second slide path is defined while the first section is at the second state. The second slide path is different from the first slide path.
