Publication number: 20240125201Abstract: An isolation valve system, method, and apparatus are provided that can isolate a wellbore and prevent fluids from exiting the well and prevent seawater from entering the well. The system can be a two-part design in some embodiments where a shear sub is selectively interconnected to a body via shearing screws. A sufficient force on the shear sub destroys the shearing screws and the shear sub is removed from the body. This movement rotates an actuator on the body, which in turn rotates a valve in the body to provide the isolating function during routine operation of a wellbore or during an emergency.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 26, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Applicant: Spoked Solutions LLCInventor: Bryce Elliott Randle

Publication number: 20240068323Abstract: An apparatus for deploying a circular device such as a frac ball into a wellbore, and systems and methods for using the same, is provided. In various embodiments, the apparatus can have a magazine that biases the circular device upward, and then an actuator and slidebar move the circular device from the magazine down a chute and into a wellbore. The apparatus can be operated remotely to reduce the risk of harm to a human operator. Other aspects and features of the apparatus are described herein.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Applicant: Spoked Solutions LLCInventors: Shane Triche, Heath Triche

Patent number: 11905768Abstract: A compensating rig elevator is provided to eliminate set-down weight from threaded connectors during make-up of a pipe stand and thereby provide an ability to reduce the risk of thread galling and cross-threading. The elevator may comprise one or more hoist assemblies with bail arms that deflect as the compensating rig elevator is suspended by the bail arms and a tubular is placed in the compensating rig elevator. The bail arms actuate a locking mechanism to secure the compensating rig elevator in a closed position around the tubular. The compensating rig elevator can also have compensating rams and a slip system to positively engage the tubular and bear the weight of multiple tubulars.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2020Date of Patent: February 20, 2024Assignee: Spoked Solutions, LLCInventors: Shane Triche, Heath Triche

Patent number: 11655683Abstract: A device, system, and/or method for reducing friction required to rotate a tubular within an elevator during the process of running tubulars in an oil and gas well are provided. An elevator roller insert may be used in conjunction with an elevator, such as a single joint elevator. Such an insert may comprise upper and lower rollers which are positioned on upper and lower roller sets or a combination roller set containing multiple upper and/or lower rollers. The result is the provision of a plurality of rollers which bear the weight of a tubular yet still allow the tubular to rotate rather freely, facilitating the maintenance of proper thread integrity of the connections while making up a stand to a string of tubulars as well as preventing the loss of resources due to galled or crushed threads or a tubing segment or stand falling to the rig floor.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 2021Date of Patent: May 23, 2023Assignee: Spoked Solutions, LLCInventors: Shane Joseph Triche, Heath Lawrence Triche

Patent number: 11643919Abstract: An apparatus, system and/or method for making observations down a wellbore are provided. The wellbore observation system may comprise a mandrel that can be run downhole, and telescoping tracks can be utilized to move a camera and semi-conforming inflatable bladder out of the mandrel and into the wellbore. Once the bladder is inflated, it displaces high turbidity fluid in the wellbore to allow the camera to move about a track and observe the wellbore unobstructed. An alternative embodiment allows the mandrel and telescoping tracks to be utilized with other tools to perform cleaning, fishing, diagnostic, and analytic operations.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2021Date of Patent: May 9, 2023Assignee: Spoked Solutions LLCInventors: Bryce Elliott Randle, Shane Joseph Triche, Heath Lawrence Triche

Patent number: 10808500Abstract: Various systems, methods, and devices are disclosed for handling contaminants in a wellbore or riser. A washpipe debris trap (WPDT) traps contaminants traveling up a wellbore from a downhole location, and the WPDT may serve as an indicator for a breached screen in a downhole location. A marine riser reversing tool (MRRT) may reverse the flow of fluid between a workstring conduit and an annulus between the workstring and the wellbore such that fluid rises to the wellhead with greater velocity. A bi-directional chamber trap (BDCT) may be utilized in a wellbore operation to remove contaminants from a fluid.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2018Date of Patent: October 20, 2020Assignee: Spoked Solutions LLCInventor: Bryce Elliott Randle
