  • Patent number: 6349960
Abstract: A tow line connector including a base attached to a towable vehicle, a free end extending out from the base, an opening disposed between the base and the free end, and a pair of notches formed between the opening and the free end. A loop formed in a tow line is threaded through the opening, extended over the free end to engage the notches, and pulled taut to form a quick and easy connection of the tow line to the towable vehicle. In one embodiment, the base includes an attachment flange that is heat sealed to the towable vehicle, and in a second embodiment, the base includes a closed slot that receives a towing strap of a towable vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6283811
Abstract: A steerable towable vehicle including a body member with a pair of fore-and-aft directed laterally spaced fins attached to the bottom surface. A towing line is attached to the bottom surface at a point centered between the fins adjacent the front of the fins. A passenger carried on the top surface of the body member can shift their weight to one side or the other of the towing line attachment point to selectively steer the vehicle to the right or left. Hand grips are provided to assist the passenger in effectively shifting their weight to steer the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6280271
Abstract: An inflatable shaded float that includes a horizontal base upon which a number of users may sit or recline, a vertical support extending up from the base, and a horizontal canopy attached to the support to provide shade for a portion of the base. The base, support, and canopy are all inflatable so that the float may be entirely deflated to a compact package that is easily transported from one location to another. The support and canopy are shaped to give the appearance of the tail of a whale while making a dive.

  • Patent number: 6257943
Abstract: An inflatable recreational vehicle including an inflatable body member and a pair of passenger cockpits defined by a pair of elongated fore-and-aft directed laterally spaced recesses disposed inwardly from the peripheral edge of the body member. A first inflatable backrest is disposed adjacent one of the cockpits between the cockpit and the rear of the body member. A second inflatable backrest is positioned next to the other of the cockpits between the cockpit and the front of the body member. The arrangement of the cockpits and the backrests allows two passengers to be seated laterally spaced from and facing each other.

  • Patent number: 6220908
Abstract: An inflatable towable vehicle including a tapered hull. The hull is formed of a plurality of concentrically disposed inflatable rings with chambers which have progressively increasing diameters from the outermost ring to the innermost ring. Interior connecting webs form shared walls for the adjacent chambers, and openings in the webs allow fluid communication between the chambers so that a single inflation valve can be used to simultaneously inflate all of the chambers. When inflated, the centers of the chambers are horizontally aligned to yield a hull profile that is tapered from both the top and the bottom. The passenger cockpit is defined by the open area in from the innermost ring, and a floor including an inflatable section and a drain opening. The tapered hull acts to minimize resistance to the water or snow over which the vehicle is being towed, and results in an aesthetically appealing vehicle profile.

  • Patent number: 6217401
Abstract: An inflatable towable vehicle including a inflatable body member having an interior wall defining a central cavity, a flexible body shell disposed to surround the body member and having an end opening at the lower part of the interior wall, and a seat sized to matingly fit within the central cavity. The exterior wall of the seat engages the body shell over the interior wall of the body member and pulls the body shell taut as the seat is inserted into the cavity. The seat includes an inflatable bladder with an outside diameter slightly larger than the inside diameter of the cavity which slightly deforms the body member to provide a seal between the body member and the seat. Thus, no zipper closures are required to secure the body shell to the body member.
