  • Patent number: 5281049
Abstract: A rotatable driver comprising a Geneva type wheel is operated by a turning knob associated with climate designations on a mounting dashboard panel. The driver has drive pins that engage slots in tangential movement in driven links connected to push-pull cables. These cables in turn are connected to control doors in air ducts in vehicle climate control systems. The driver includes a wall segment selectively engageable with the driven links to serve as a stop such that upon driving movement of one of the driven links the other driven link is held stationary. One of the driven links has a cam edge that actuates an electric switch for an air conditioning unit on the vehicle in selected positions of the driven link. A directional air flow lever has an axis of rotation in alignment with the axis of rotation of the rotatable driver and operative between the turning knob and the mounting panel.

  • Patent number: 5083339
Abstract: A nozzle arm is associated with an air-operated motor arranged to move the nozzle arm in a forward and return cycle across a headlight. The motor is a reversing air motor that includes a mixing chamber for pressured air and a cleaning fluid. The mixing chamber produces a mist under pressure that cleans the headlight in an efficient manner in one cycle of the arm. The motor is controlled in its movement by a cycling valve and an air operated relay valve. The nozzles on the nozzle arm are thin openings that form a pressured fan-like cleaning pattern.

  • Patent number: 4880031
Abstract: A control head has support structure arranged to support it at the rear side of a dashboard. This control head supports a mode control lever and a valve having an elongated housing with pressure inlet and outlet laterals therein. The outlet laterals are arranged to communicate with remote fluid pressure operated structures, and the valve has a stem operated by the mode control lever for controlled operation of the inlet and outlet laterals upon pivoted movement of the lever to operate the remote fluid pressure operated structures. The structural arrangement of the control head facilitates use of quick connect and disconnect flexible tubing between the inlet and outlet laterals and with the fluid pressure operated structures. The control head also has a cam switch operated by the mode control lever for controlled operation of an air conditioning unit.
