  • Patent number: 5275225
Abstract: A swag support comprising an elongated tubular rod and a longitudinal slot at the rear side of the rod. Each swag holder includes a head portion mounted in the slot in the rod; an arm portion extending upwardly from the head and a C-shaped front portion that extends from the arm portion over the top of the rod and in spaced relation to the front and bottom of the rod and terminates in the distal end spaced from the bottom of the rod to allow a fabric swag scarf to be introduced into the swag holders from below the rod. Each swag holder has a fabric clip for holding an upper portion of the fabric swag scarf at a rear side of the rod and each swag holder also has a plurality of fingers on an inner side of the C-shaped front portion which define a plurality of fabric fold receiving slots at spaced locations along the C-shaped front portion.

  • Patent number: 5257811
Abstract: A vertical louver suspension system for louvers of the type in which the center of gravity of the cross-sectional contour of the louver is offset from one side of the louver and which enables such louvers to hang vertically. An adapter body is attached to each louver adjacent the upper end and provides a hanger engaging member adjacent the center of gravity of the louver cross-sectional contour for suspending the louver from the hanger substantially at the center of gravity of the louver cross-sectional contour.

  • Patent number: 5242065
Abstract: A lockable fitting for a curtain rod of the type having lengthwise extending rod flanges, the lockable fitting including a latch body movable along the rod and a latch member having first and second pairs of fingers with the fingers of each pair disposed at relatively opposite sides of a respective one of the rod flanges. The latch member is mounted on the body for movement between a release position in which the fingers of each pair loosely receive the associated rod flange and a lock position in which the fingers of each pair grip the associated rod flange means therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5207257
Abstract: An adjustable shade comprising an upper headrail and a lower rail and a transversely pleated expandable and collapsible shade member attached to the upper headrail and to lower rail and extending therebetween. The lower rail means including two lower rail sections and a hinge device that interconnect the lower rail sections for swinging movement between a position in which the lower rail sections extend in relatively opposite directions parallel of the upper headrail and a position in which the lower rail sections extend downwardly from the hinge. One lift cord is attached to the hinge device and extends upwardly through the first row of cord guide openings to the upper headrail, and a first shade operating means connected to the first lift cord means for raising the proximate ends of the lower rail sections while allowing distal ends of the lower rail sections to swing downwardly and draw lower portions of the pleated shade member into an inverted fan configuration.

  • Patent number: 5139073
Abstract: A tape drum provides an improved method for operatively coupling a ladder tape to a tilt rod in a venetian blind headrail assembly. The tape drum includes a receiving cavity and resilient opposed retaining members for retaining the tape drum in assembled position on the tilt rod. A slot on either side of the receiving cavity holds the portions at one end of the ladder tape in position across the receiving cavity so that, upon assembly of the tape drum to the tilt rod, the end portions of the ladder tape will be compressively engaged between the retaining members and the tilt rod.
