  • Patent number: 10812317
Abstract: A system defining fault management actions for a network based on historical reference implemented by at least one computer. The system comprises the alarm process application stored in the memory. When executed by the processor, the alarm process application classifies the plurality of alarms that are stored in the alarm summary table based on which part of the network an alarm is from, scores a priority of each of the plurality of alarms based on the classification and a geographical location of an alarm, and determines a signature for some of the subset of the plurality of alarms to be stored in the matches table, wherein a signature is a set of column and value pairs that occur in alarm fields with an occurrence rate above a predefined threshold.

  • Patent number: 10771128
Abstract: A wireless communication network uses Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO). Network circuitry stores geographic data that indicates geographic containers. Transceiver circuitry wirelessly receives network signaling from User Equipment (UEs) located in the geographic containers. The network circuitry processes the network signaling to determine UE MU-MIMO correlation factors between the UEs and associate the UE MU-MIMO correlation factors with the geographic containers. The network circuitry processes the UE MU-MIMO correlation factors associated with the geographic containers to determine container MU-MIMO correlation factors between the geographic containers. The network circuitry selects UEs for MU-MIMO based on their container MU-MIMO correlation factors. The transceiver circuitry wirelessly transfers MU-MIMO signals to the UEs that were selected based on their container MU-MIMO correlation factors.

  • Patent number: 10764378
Abstract: A mobile communication device. The device comprises a cellular radio transceiver, a GPS receiver, a processor, a memory, and a self-locating application stored in the memory. When executed by the processor the application monitors a received signal strength of the radio transceiver, in response to detecting a rate of cellular radio signal strength increase above a first threshold, obtains GPS coordinates of the device from the GPS receiver and an identity of a serving cell site, stores the GPS coordinates with the identity of the serving cell site in the memory, and in response to detecting a rate of cellular radio signal strength decrease below a second predefined threshold and determining that the cellular radio transceiver is served by the serving cell site associated with the GPS coordinates stored in the memory, determines that the device is at the location associated with the GPS coordinates stored in the memory.

  • Patent number: 8942354
Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system to remotely test message-waiting notifications over a communications network is provided. The method includes receiving broadband signaling from a voicemail platform; converting the broadband signaling to narrowband signaling; and transmitting the narrowband signaling, which generates status notifications, and transmits the status notifications to a remote test location. The system includes a switching element that routes the broadband signaling generated by the voicemail platform. The switching element routes the broadband signaling to a message processing component that executes code that searches a message-waiting-notification database to generate appropriate tones based on the broadband signaling received from the switching element.

  • Patent number: 8451987
Abstract: Service disruptions in a 911 system are detected by receiving reports from mobile positioning centers that detail certain activities of the 911 system. These reports are compiled into a log. Parts of this log are then searched for conditions that would indicate a service disruption. For example, a certain number of errors appearing in the log in the last six hours may indicate a service disruption. If a condition that would indicate a service disruption is found, a notice is generated so that action may be taken.

  • Patent number: 6795440
Abstract: The invention is a tandem system for providing a tandem connection for circuit-based traffic. This tandem system comprises an ATM cross-connect, ATM interworking multiplexers, and a signaling processor. The multiplexer converts the traffic received by the tandem system into ATM where it is routed through the cross-connect and re-converted, back into the circuit-based format at an ATM interworking multiplexer. The signaling processor controls the virtual connections and out going circuit-based connections used by the multiplexers.
