Patent number: 12311599Abstract: A magnetic locking system for securing a printing platform to a print arm within a three-dimensional (3D) printing system is provided. First and second magnets are configured with an end of the print arm, and a locking plate formed of a material that is attracted to magnetic fields is configured with the printing platform. The magnets are configured with a moving assembly that toggles the magnets with respect to one another between a first position and a second position, thereby varying the overall magnetic force generated by the magnets. When in the first position, the magnet applies an attractive magnetic force to the locking plate that secures the printing platform. When in the second position, the attractive magnetic force is reduced or eliminated, and the printing platform is released. The system provides a consistent and repeatable magnetic locking force between a printer arm and a printing platform.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2022Date of Patent: May 27, 2025Assignee: SprintRay Inc.Inventor: Huijian Tian

Patent number: 11890173Abstract: The invention is generally a nasal pharyngeal and oral swab that may be mass-produced via three-dimensional (3D) printing. To achieve the right materials for 3D printing the swabs, exemplary embodiments employ a set of materials that result in a rigid structure that has bendable properties (at least in the neck or stem region of the swab), but more rigid and bridle properties at a breakpoint of the swab. In exemplary embodiments, this may be achieved by constructing the device of a first photosensitive material that is generally soft and bendable when cured, and a second photosensitive material that is generally rigid and brittle when cured, wherein the soft bendable material comprises of about 70% to 90% of the photosensitive composition used to 3D print the swab, and the rigid and brittle material comprises of about 30% to 10% of the photosensitive composition used to 3D print the swab.Type: GrantFiled: August 17, 2022Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: SprintRay Inc.Inventors: Amir Mansouri, Hossein Bassir

Patent number: 11833756Abstract: The invention is generally a system for washing off residual resin from objects which are three-dimensionally (3D) printed through a vat polymerization (VP) process. Exemplary systems may include a solvent receptacle, a wash reservoir in fluid communication with the solvent receptacle, and a controller configured to pump a solvent from the solvent receptacle to the wash reservoir for washing off residual resin from a 3D-printed object. Exemplary methods may include pumping a first solution of a plurality of solvent solutions from the solvent receptacle to the wash reservoir, dispersing the first solution onto the 3D-printed object, pumping the first solution from the wash reservoir to the solvent receptacle, pumping a second solution of the plurality of solvent solutions from the solvent receptacle to the wash reservoir, and dispersing the second solution onto the 3D-printed object.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 2022Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignee: SprintRay Inc.Inventors: Amir Mansouri, Huijian Tian, Shukun Ye, Hossein Bassir, Aayush Patel, Hang Ye

Patent number: 11433619Abstract: The present subject matter is directed towards a system and a method for selectively post-curing a three-dimensional (3D-printed) object to attain variable properties. The system comprises a selective post-curing chamber coupled to a computer in communication with a database for accessing a digital model or data concerning the 3D-printed object. The chamber comprises a movable light source assembly and a mounting platform for supporting at least one 3D-printed object thereon. The computer includes one or more executable instructions for selectively emitting a curing light onto the 3D-printed object along a predetermined curing toolpath based on the digital model. The curing of the 3D-printed object along the predetermined curing toolpath generates variable properties along different regions of the 3D-printed object.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 2021Date of Patent: September 6, 2022Assignee: SprintRay Inc.Inventors: Amir Mansouri, Hossein Bassir, Aayush Patel, Huijian Tian

Patent number: 11155028Abstract: The invention is generally a 3D printer configured for printing 3D objects using a high-viscosity photosensitive material. The 3D printer may include a fluid retaining assembly which comprises a rotating tank. A printing platform is situated in a manner such that a bottom surface of the printing platform makes contact with the printing solution in the tank. To facilitate printing using the high-viscosity printing material, a scraper assembly may be implemented in order to properly prepare the printing solution onto a surface of the tank. The scraper assembly prepares the material by scraping a layer of the material onto the surface of the tank for facilitating curing of the layer onto the printing platform.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 2020Date of Patent: October 26, 2021Assignee: SprintRay Inc.Inventor: Jing Zhang

Patent number: 10766194Abstract: The present invention concerns a reservoir assembly for use in three-dimensional (3D) printing for building a 3D object, which includes a top frame that may be filled with liquid material, and a tensioned film being held underneath the top frame. The tensioned film may be air permeable and elastic at the same time, wherein surfaces of the tensioned film are micro textured so that the tensioned film becomes optically clear when it contacts with the liquid material. The tensioned film minimizes the creation of bubbles between the top and bottom surfaces. This also helps blurring the boundaries thereby enhancing the surface finish of the fabricated parts.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2019Date of Patent: September 8, 2020Assignee: SprintRay Inc.Inventors: Amir Mansouri, Huijian Tian, Jing Zhang, Abdol Hossein Bassir
