Abstract: A method of linking an encoded image with a campaign database, comprises providing an image to a user, the image being associated with at least a portion of a value, referencing the at least a portion of the value to a campaign database that includes a collection of data, providing, through the campaign database, a plurality of responses, at least one of the responses based on a characteristic of the encoded image, and delivering, to the user, one or more specific responses selected from the plurality of responses.
Abstract: “A printed medium comprises an encoded image, the encoded image including a value encoded therein, wherein the value is referenced to at least a marketing database and an associated social networking environment and wherein the value further enables communication through the social networking environment.
Abstract: An encoded image and methods for encoding and decoding encoded images. In one example, an encoded image may include at least one identifiable mark (also referred to herein as an anchor image); a triggering image that indicates the presence of the encoded image; and at least one encoded element adjacent to the identifiable mark, the at least one encoded element positioned at a location relative to the identifiable mark, the location representing a value. In one embodiment, a method to form an encoded image may include the operations of selecting a value, the value having one or more digits; based on at least one or more of the digits, selecting an anchor image; selecting at least one element for positioning proximate to the anchor image; forming the image using the anchor image and the at least one element; and based on at least one or more of the digits, forming a characteristic of the at least one element.
Abstract: A graphically based encoded image, symbol or icon that can serve as a link from physical material or visual displays to electronic data to retrieve specific or general information. In one example, a graphic image is encoded with a value that is linked to a reference lookup table. For example, a numeric value may be encoded to form an encoded image by providing a primary image, such as a logo, and by positioning one or more secondary images or shapes in reference to the primary image, wherein the position of the secondary image relative to the primary image corresponds or relates to the numeric value. Generally, the encoded image may be in the form of any shape, figure or logo, and may be associated with, for example, an advertisement, web site, marketing program, corporate promotion, product promotion, sweepstakes, business cards, personal information, and other mediums for the exchange of information.
