  • Patent number: 7857540
Abstract: A connecting system for connecting first and second mesh sheets each defining a plurality of longitudinal members at least one pin housing, a first pin member, and a second pin member. A first loop portion is formed on at least one of the plurality of longitudinal members of the first mesh sheet. A second loop portion is formed on at least one of the plurality of longitudinal members of the second mesh sheet. At least one pin housing defines a loop passageway, and the first and second loop portions extend in opposite directions through the loop passageway. The first pin member is arranged between the first loop portion and the at least one pin housing. The second pin member is arranged between the second loop portion and the at least one pin housing. Loads that displace the first and second mesh sheets away from each other are transferred between the mesh sheets by the pin housing and the first and second pin members.

  • Patent number: 7503719
Abstract: A connecting system for connecting a mesh sheet to a concrete member. The connecting system comprises an anchor structure and a first pin member. The anchor structure defines a loop passageway and a pin opening. The anchor structure is adapted to be partly embedded within the concrete member. A mesh loop portion is formed on the mesh sheet. The mesh loop portion extends into the loop passageway. To connect the mesh sheet to the concrete member, the first pin member extends along the pin opening and through the mesh loop portion of the mesh sheet. Force applied to the concrete member away from the mesh sheet causes the first pin member to engage the anchor structure and the mesh loop portion to inhibit movement between the mesh sheet and the concrete member.

  • Patent number: 6939087
Abstract: A retaining wall system for stabilizing an earthen wall. The retaining wall system comprises a panel structure, an anchor mesh panel, and a lock member. The wall panel defines an exposed face and a rear face. An insert is partly embedded within the wall panel such that a portion of the insert is spaced from the rear face of the wall panel to define a lock opening. The anchor mesh panel comprises at least one tension member defining an anchor axis. The tension member is bent at a first edge location to define a bearing portion. The lock member is inserted through the lock opening to engage the tension member and the insert to inhibit relative movement between the anchor mesh panel and the wall panel.

  • Patent number: 6908263
Abstract: A retaining wall system for stabilizing an earthen wall comprising a plurality of face panels, a plurality of anchor mesh panels, and a plurality of connecting pins. The face panels each comprise first and second connecting portions and a wall portion. Each connecting portion comprises an upper surface and a bottom surface and defines a void system. The wall portion defines a face surface and a retaining surface. The face panels are stacked in a plurality of vertically spaced rows. The first vertically spaced row is arranged above the second vertically spaced row. A wall face is defined by the face surfaces of the wall portions and openings formed between vertically spaced wall portions and between horizontally spaced connecting portions. A portion of the anchor mesh panels is inserted into the void system. The connecting pins are inserted into the void system to secure the portion of the anchor mesh panel to the face panels. The earthen wall is accessible through the openings in the wall face.

The wall panel defines an exposed face and a rear face. A first portion of the insert is embedded within the wall panel. A second portion of the insert extends from the rear face of the wall panel such that the second portion and the rear face of the wall define at least one lock opening. The anchor mesh panel defines a bearing portion and a bearing bar. The anchor mesh panel is arranged such that the bearing bar engages the second portion of the insert and the bearing portion is arranged adjacent to the rear face. The connecting pin is inserted through the at least one lock opening to inhibit relative movement between the anchor mesh panel and the wall panel when loads are applied to the wall panel.

  • Patent number: 6793436
Abstract: A connecting system for connecting a first mesh sheet to a member comprising a housing member, a first loop portion, and a first pin member. The housing member defines a loop passageway, and the housing member is adapted to be rigidly connected to the member. The first loop portion is formed on the first mesh sheet and extends into the loop passageway. The first pin member extends through the first loop portion of the first mesh sheet such that a force applied to the first mesh sheet away from the housing member causes the first pin member to engage the housing member and the loop portion to inhibit movement between the first mesh sheet and the member. In one preferred embodiment, the member is a concrete panel. In another preferred embodiment, the member is a second mesh sheet.
