The amplifier comprises a differential input stage having a first and a second differential branch, each traversed by a bias current, the current in the first branch being modifiable by n basic current sources which each deliver either a current identical for all current sources, or no current, as a function of one respective bit of the digital control value received at the control input.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 2010Date of Patent: December 9, 2014Assignees: ST-Ericsson SA, ST-Ericsson (Grenoble) SASInventors: Rémy Cellier, François Amiard

Patent number: 8829639Abstract: An integrated thermoelectric device in semiconductor technology comprising a hot side arranged in proximity to a heat source, and a cold side, providing a signal according to the temperature difference between the hot and cold sides. The hot and cold sides are arranged in such a way that their temperatures tend to equal out when the temperature of the heat source varies, i.e. when the sensor is in poor operating conditions. A measuring circuit provides useful information according to a continuously variable portion of the signal from a time when the temperature of the heat source varies. If the temperature of the heat source ceases to vary, the temperatures of the hot and cold sides eventually equal out and the signal is annulled and ceases to vary. The distance between the hot and cold sides can be less than 100 ?m.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 2010Date of Patent: September 9, 2014Assignees: ST-Ericsson (Grenoble) SAS, Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies AlternativesInventors: Vincent Remondière, Guillaume Savelli, Marc Plissonnier, Denis Cottin

Publication number: 20120235654Abstract: The invention relates to a switching mode power supply device comprising at least one MOS power transistor made on an integrated circuit and operating in switching mode, the drain and the source of said at least one MOS power transistor being connected, via connecting members having a non-null inductance, to one or several external circuits to said integrated circuit. According to the invention, the device further comprises a limiter circuit able to limit the current variations in at least one of said connecting members during the switching of said MOS power transistor. This limiter circuit enables to maintain the drain-source voltage of the MOS power transistor below a predetermined threshold value when it commutes.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 22, 2010Publication date: September 20, 2012Applicants: ST-ERICSSON SA, ST-ERICSSON (GRENOBLE) SASInventor: Laurent Chevalier

Publication number: 20120235513Abstract: An electric power supply circuit that provides electric power to a mobile telecommunication device is provided. The electrical power supply circuit can be plugged in to a power grid or receive transformed energy from an alternate energy source. The electrical power supply circuit may provide converted electrical energy to a mobile telecommunication device from the power grid, the transformed energy or a rechargeable battery. Further, the electrical power supply can charge the rechargeable battery from either or both the electrical power grid or the transformed energy. A management module assesses the available electrical sources and the state of the electrical sources so as to switch an appropriate electrical power source to be input to the mobile telecommunication device.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2010Publication date: September 20, 2012Applicants: ST-ERICSSON (GRENOBLE) SAS, ST-ERICSSON SAInventors: Cyrille Gachon, Daniel Ladret

Publication number: 20120039004Abstract: A composite electronic circuit assembly comprises two MOS or CMOS circuit dice (100, 200) superimposed inside a package. Different modules of the circuit assembly are distributed between the two dice based on the digital, analog, or hybrid nature of said modules. Such a distribution makes it possible to group together the digital modules of the circuit assembly in one of the die and the analog or hybrid modules in the other die. The production cost, development time, and electrical energy consumption of the circuit assembly may thus be reduced.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 20, 2010Publication date: February 16, 2012Applicants: ST-ERICSSON (GRENOBLE) SAS, ST-ERICSSON SAInventor: Alain Artieri
