    Abstract: In a mass flow meter having a "U" shaped conduit through which a fluid to be measured flows and oscillation means therefor to cause the "U" shaped conduit to produce a torsional moment due to the Coriolis force, a torque beam on which strain gages are mounted is fixed between both legs of the "U" shaped conduit to detect the torsional moment as an electric quantity.
