    Abstract: The invention relates to a thermoplastic moulding compound consisting of:A. at least 95% (wt) of a copolymer consisting of1. 50-95 moles % styrene and/or .alpha.-methylstyrene2. 50-55 moles % unsaturated dicarboxylic anhydrideB. at most 5% (wt) of an phosphite with the general formula of ##STR1## where R represents hydrogen or the residue of an alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkaryl or aralkyl, while the R substituents need not to be the same and may contain heteroatoms.It has been found that additions of these phosphites to SMA-containing moulding compounds checks the decomposition of SMA, prevents the moulding compound from getting stuck to the processing equipment and consequently reduces corrosion to a high degree.

    Abstract: This invention provides a catalyst composition suitable for the gas phase oxidation, ammoxidation and oxidative dehydrogenation of olefins to unsaturated aldehydes, unsaturated nitriles and dienes respectively. The catalyst composition comprises, as active catalyst component, a solid solution of Fe, Sb and Ti oxides which has a rutile type crystal structure which is present in the composition in an amount of at least 80 wt. %, and which is represented by the empirical formula Fe.sub.x Sb.sub.y Ti.sub.z O.sub.w, wherein, for x=1, y is in the range of 0.5 to 10, z is in the range of 0.16 to 209 and w represents the number of oxygen atoms corresponding to the oxides of the above elements. The catalyst component is prepared by co-precipitating metal oxides from solutions of corresponding metal salts followed by calcination at 600.degree.-1000.degree. C. of the washed and dried precipitate.

    Abstract: A process is disclosed for preparing a titanium catalyst component useful for homopolymerizing 1-alkenes and for copolymerizing 1-alkenes with each other and/or with ethylene, consisting essentially in grinding a titanium halide compound/electron-donor complex with a magnesium aluminum halide obtained by precipitation from an organic solvent.In the process the ground product is first washed with a washing liquid containing a solvent for the aluminum halide/electron-donor complex which forms during the grinding process and by preference at least one alcohol, the molar ratio between alcohol and titanium in the ground product ranging between 50:1 and 1:20, and then the washed product is exposed to a liquid titanium halide compound.With this procedure, it is possible to obtain a titanium component which imparts to the polymerization catalyst an excellent stereospecificity along with a very high activity, and with which it is possible to obtain polymers, e.g.
