Abstract: The present invention is directed to a golf club head comprising a central core having an outer surface, at least one continuous fiber extending around at least a portion of the outer surface of the core closest to the club face, and an external resin layer which covers the core and the continuous fiber. Preferably, the core is comprised of a syntactic foam which is entirely covered with a braided construction of a plurality of continuous graphite composite fibers.
