Abstract: According to the invention, for connections between terminals connected to different networks, the terminals intended for connection to the network having the higher capacity are so equipped that, alternatively (I, II), they could also operate at the network having the lower capacity. In these terminals as well as at the interface between the two networks, simple network interface devices (30, 60) are inserted which insert and extract the filler bits in a suitable manner.
Abstract: During silk-screen printing, the stencil (3) is stretched as a result of the pressure exerted by the squeeges (6) This results in a distorted pattern on the material (4) to be printed. To eliminate this error, the design (7') in the stencil (3) is predistorted in such a way that a distortion-free printed pattern (8') is obtained.

Abstract: A broadband integrated subscriber loop system is provided in accordance with the teachings of the present invention. A system is provided in which the subscribers are combined in groups (T1n1-T1n10) each of which is supplied via a single optical communication link. Over the optical waveguide (LWL) of this optical communication link, signals of the channels assigned to subscribers for various telecommunication services are transmitted on a multiplexed basis from the switching unit to an interface unit closely located to the subscribers of the group. In the interface unit the channels are separated and subscriber-assigned multiplexers (Mux 5) combine the channels assigned to a subscriber in accordance with the transmission capacity required into a subscriber time-division-multiplex signal.
