  • Patent number: 5002402
Abstract: The preferred latch device consists of two elements, attached to interfitting longitudinally movable slide members in a relationship to pass adjacent to one another as the slide members move longitudinally. The elements each carry stops which are positioned to engage one another as the elements come into an adjacent relationship to limit further travel of the slide members. One of the elements is pivotally attached to its slide member, and movable both clockwise and counter clockwise, to displace the stops sufficiently to clear its stops on the other element and permit the slide members to be disconnected. Preferably the rear faces of the stops on one element are sloped in parallel planes to engage the stops on the other element as the slide members are being reconnected, and to cam the pivotal element sufficiently to cause the stops to clear one connection, permitting the slide members to be easily reconnected.

  • Patent number: 4974912
Abstract: A pocket door suspension system which permits the door to be moved, without skewing or sagging, from a closed position to an open and retracted position adjacent a supporting wall, the system having two telescoping slide assemblies mounted to the supporting wall, the door being attached by hinges to moveable members of the slide assemblies. Two cables are provided, each attached at one end to the back end of one fixed slide member and at the other end to the front end of the other fixed slide member. Each cable is slideably attached to the moveable members of the slide assemblies such that the pair of cables trace an "I" figure, the pair of cables effectively preventing the moveable members of the slide assemblies from moving out of a predetermined relationship to each other.

  • Patent number: 4696582
Abstract: An improved three member drawer slide having a drawer slide, an intermediate member and a cabinet slide. The three member slide moves sequentially so that the cabinet slide extends completely before the drawer slide begins its extension. This sequential movement extends the life of the three member slide. The sequential movement is brought about by a releasable gripping action between the drawer member and the intermediate member.

  • Patent number: 4679950
Abstract: A drawer slide with an infinite adjustment locking mechanism. The slide may be locked at any position and operates by moving a ball bearing against a protrusion in a ball bearing raceway. Preferably, the slide has an extending handle which permits it to move freely and when the handle is released, the slide is locked in position.

  • Patent number: 4610487
Abstract: An improved drawer slide having a deformable brake to hold the slide in any desired degree of extension. The slide is of the type which has an outer slide member with two inwardly-facing ball-bearing supporting grooves, an inner slide member with two outwardly-facing ball-bearing supporting grooves, a brake block is held on the outer slide member and is deformed so that it contacts the inner slide member when it is desired to lock the slide in position.

  • Patent number: 4566814
Abstract: A print head carriage assembly having a precision, linear, ball-bearing slide mounted parallel to the platen. The device has a carriage which is supported by the inner member of the slide. The linear movement of the carriage is also controlled by a second guide which is likewise mounted parallel to the platen.

  • Patent number: 4560212
Abstract: A precision ball bearing slide mechanism having a removable inner member. The slide is a three part slide having an outer, an intermediate and an inner slide member. A latch which holds the intermediate slide member in a locked out position is disclosed herein. This latch is released when the inner slide member is retracted.

  • Patent number: 4549773
Abstract: A precision ball bearing slide mechanism having a removable inner member. One version of the invention utilizes an inner member which also holds the inner member in a locked out extended position. The inner member is stopped and locked by the engagement of an elongated latch with a stop. By moving the latch the inner member may be removed from the body of the slide. Latches which lock the inner member in an extended configuration and permit retraction only upon movement of the latch are disclosed as are configurations which permit the slide to be readily retracted. Also disclosed is a version of the latch which permits the slide to be retracted upon exertion of an inward force on the slide.

  • Patent number: 4324439
Abstract: A drawer-slide-suspension system adapted for use with comparatively wide suspended drawers or like moving objects, whereby a wide drawer is slidable within a cabinet enclosure without binding or racking when a closing or opening force is applied along any longitudinal portion of the drawer, the system comprising two oppositely disposed slide-suspension mechanisms, each including two slide units, one defined as being a lower substantially stationary cabinet unit, the other being an upper or movable drawer-mounted unit, and having an intermediate member interconnected between the upper and lower units, and further including a synchronizing belt attached between the upper and lower units, a geared wheel being mounted to the rear of each intermediate member, the wheels being operably connected by a longitudinal transverse shaft and arranged to engage respective linear gear racks attached to each stationary unit.

  • Patent number: 4201423
Abstract: A synchronized traveling carriage assembly comprising at least one slide mechanism held by a end-support cap having alignment pins to firmly hold it in a rigid position. The outer side of the support cap includes support pins so as to be readily acceptable in a cooperating installation. A carriage plate is affixed to the moving slide member whereby various devices may be mounted thereto. The slide comprises an outer slide member which is removably connected to the alignment pin of the support cap, an inner slide member, and a ball-retainer member disposed therebetween having at least two flat strips of friction material coacting with at least one intermediate member formed by an endless belt of friction material--the flat strips being affixed to respective inner and outer slide members and the endless belt being movably mounted to the ball-retainer member for engagement with the flat strips.

  • Patent number: 4119377
Abstract: A drawer slide having a pair of parallel slide members, one of the slide members having a roller at the end opposite the roller of the one member. The slide members are channel-shaped and oppositely arranged, with the roller of one slide member received in the channel of the other slide member, the rollers carrying each respective slide member. A resilient tab is lanced out of one of the slide members adjacent an end. When the slides are installed in a drawer or cabinet, one slide member is attached to the side of a drawer while the other slide member is attached to an adjacent part of the desk or cabinet drawer opening. The tab is turned inwardly of the slide member opposite the slide member having a roller at that end. The free end of the tab is at the free end of the slide member from which it is lanced out; and, when the slide members are retracted, the tab frictionally and yieldingly engages a part of the adjacent roller to take up any play between the two slide members.
