Patents Assigned to Standardwerk Eugen Reis GmbH
  • Patent number: 6053807
Abstract: Apparatus for processing coins or similar disk-like objects having a coin hopper, a coin tray that transfers the coins individually to a counting and/or sorting section and an inclined conveyor disposed between the hopper and the tray in order to feed coins to the coin tray. The tilt of the conveyor causes larger foreign objects to slide down the conveyor in a direction opposite to the feed direction, and the conveyor may include a coin singularizing stripper near its delivery end. A chute extends between the delivery end of the conveyor and the coin tray and the chute is perforated in order to separate coins from smaller foreign objects.

  • Patent number: 5830054
Abstract: A coin handling system having a coin sorting system which singularizes, counts and sorts coins or similar disk-shaped objects and has a plurality of sorting outlets in combination with a coin safe which features a plurality of coin bins. The coin bins are each associated with one coin sorting outlet and have a coin-specific dispensing unit. The coin dispensing units of each coin bin are connected to a spatial distribution unit which enables the dispensing of a predetermined number of a specific coin type to be fed to one of a plurality of coin compartments located on a coin cassette.

  • Patent number: 5624308
Abstract: A system for handling, sorting and/or counting disc-shaped objects, such as coins. A rotatable turntable having a loading tray into which the disc-shaped objects are introduced includes a peripheral circular entrainment sorting ring. A fixed upper circular ring is disposed immediately above the sorting ring whereby the disc-shaped objects are fed along the upper ring. A plurality of deflection devices are adapted to deflect the coins from between the upper ring and sorting ring. A control track extends from the loading tray to the sorting ring and is adapted to singularize and feed the disc-shaped objects. A recognition or counting device is positioned along the control track.

  • Patent number: 5551911
Abstract: A system for handling, and in particular sorting and counting, coins or similar disk-shaped objects. The coins are transferred from a horizontal loading tray to a circular sorting track and sorting disk equipped with separating devices. Between the loading tray and the sorting track with the sorting disk is provided a control track that transports the coins, singularizes the coins and passes them at controlled spacing via recognition, stopping and deflecting systems from the loading tray to the sorting track and sorting disk.

  • Patent number: 5389034
Abstract: A device for vertically stacking individually, successively fed coins or similar disk shaped objects including at least one coin carrier receiving the coin stack with the coin carrier lowerable within a stacking space. The coin carrier includes a U-shaped finger which horizontally protrudes into the stacking space. A continuously revolving conveyor belt is attached to the coin carrier for stacking of the coins. The stacking space is bounded by up to four movable side parts that are adaptable to the cross section of the coins being stacked.

  • Patent number: 4572225
Abstract: Coins are supplied in an endless file on track having marginal edges preventing lateral movement to a counting station at which a sensor is provided. Provided also at the counting station is a stop member actuated by an electro-magnetic responsive to the counting of a predetermined number of coins to interpose the stop member in the marginal spaces between the coins after first engaging the last coin of the count at the counting station.

  • Patent number: 4441516
Abstract: In a coin counter wherein coins from a centrifugal disc are passed in succession over a guided passageway under contact with a continuous transport belt, the outlet space from the disc, the width of the passageway and the pressure of the transport belt are simultaneously adjusted in accordance with the width and diameter of the coins being counted.

  • Patent number: 4052839
Abstract: A coin-packaging machine in which individual coins are stacked in a coin tube which tube and the coins are carried by means of a cam driven system from a stacking position, to a wrapping position where the coins are wrapped into a roll and from there to a discharge position where the finished coin roll is removed from the tube and from which position the empty stacking tube is subsequently returned to the initial stacking position. The stacking tube consists of a hollow cylinder open at both ends, the longitudinal wall of which is at least partially cut away for entering of the wrapper and for engagement there of an accelerating roller to effect wrapping.

  • Patent number: 3978873
Abstract: A star-wheel is arranged adjacent a transport and is indexable about its central axis with respect to a null position on the passage of coins therethrough. A freely rotatable shaft fixed at one end to said star-wheel indexes conjointly therewith, and meshes with means for transmitting the indexing of the shaft to a register. A coupling is located about the shaft, having a first member secured to the shaft and a second member freely rotatable about the shaft and axially movable thereon. The second coupling member has a cam located about its peripheral surface and an axial extension provided with a radially extending flange. A pivotally mounted lever is adapted to tangentially engage the cam, and a pivotally mounted pawl is adapted to engage the flange. The lever is selectively manipulated to cause it to engage the cam to separate the coupling member and cause the second coupling member to rotate into a null position about said shaft.

  • Patent number: 3965912
Abstract: A coin storing and transfer device comprising a base open at its top and forming a box-like receiving container. An endless conveyor comprising a frame and a continuous belt is mounted having a portion within the receiving container and a portion extending upwardly above the level of the base to a remote height. That portion of the conveyor above the base is pivoted about a fulcrum extending transversely along the upper edge of the base adjacent one end. In this manner the upper portion of the conveyor is movable between its extending position and a folded position horizontally over the top of the base.
