Abstract: The universal joint is provided for use with power drive tools. A driving member (12) is provided having a bore (16) at one end for receiving a drive member and a cavity (18) at the other end. A driven member (14) is provided having a quadrified ball (20) at one end and a socket receiving member (22) at the other end. The quadrified ball (20) has quadrified sides (40), a spherical head (42) and spherical corners (44). The quadrified side (40) contains sloped portions (46). The cavity (18) contains a base (54), a square cross-sectional area (48), radius corners (56) and a spring groove (66). The quadrified ball (20) is held in place in the cavity (18) by means of a "C" spring (68). The "C" spring (68) fits in spring groove (66). Disposed at the base (54) of the cavity (18) is a plug compression washer (60) made of a compressible polymer. Disposed between plug compression washer (60) and the head (42) of quadrified ball (20) is a plug tension washer (62).
Abstract: An easy to assemble storage unit is disclosed. It provides a method of assembly that utilizes an interlocking scheme of tabs, catches and openings. The connection comprises a catch within a tab extending from a wall of the container that locks into a receiving opening on a top wall or floor panel. The storage unit utilizes similar components for the side walls and similar components for the top wall and floor panel.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a reversible drive ratchet wrench (10). A formed metallic insert (50) is provided. The reversible drive ratchet wrench (10) has a length, a head (14), including a ratchet mechanism (36) and a handle (16). A formed metallic insert (50) has an opening (28) for insertion of a ratchet mechanism (36). The formed metallic insert (50) also extends along the handle (16) of the wrench (10). A non-metallic covering (13) is molded around the metallic insert (50), encapsulating the head and entire length of the metallic insert (50), except for the interior of the opening (28). The non-metallic covering (13) is injection-molded around the metallic insert (50). The non-metallic covering (13) has a low dielectric value and may comprise glass fibers distributed longitudinally and/or nylon or copolymers. A non-metallic covering (13) may be of uniform thickness or varying thickness. The reversing lever (18) may also be made of the composite material.
Abstract: A connector is disclosed that comprises a catch within a tab extending from one component that locks into a receiving opening on another component. The second component slides between the tab on the first component and the first component from which the tab extends and locks when the catch is received by the receiving opening of the second component.
