Patents Assigned to Star Partners
  • Patent number: 5429248
Abstract: A grain processor for separating and measuring components of a sample of grain as it passes through a rotary sieve having two or more sieving sections having different perforations so that selective separation is made on the basis of the size of the particles in the sample.

  • Patent number: 5332307
Abstract: The invention relates to a measurement cell for granular or powdered products, including a fill opening in its upper portion. A cell according to the invention is remarkable in particular in that the plane of its fill opening, in the operational position, forms an acute dihedral angle with a horizontal plane in order by gravitation to limit the size of the dome formed by the product after filling. A cell according to the invention has numerous applications and may in particular be intended for measuring the moisture content of cereals, deaginous, or proteaneceous.

  • Patent number: 5253512
Abstract: The invention relates to a moisture meter tester for granular or powdered products including a cell for the product to be analyzed and a means of indirect measurement of the moisture connected to a unit for processing the measurements, the cell being adapted to be filled with and successively emptied of the product. The moisture meter of the invention is notable in that a hygrometric sensor is arranged so as to be capable of being in contact with the air surrounding the product to be analyzed, and that the sensor is connected to the measurement processing unit in order to make corrections to the values for the apparent moisture measured by the indirect measurement means. The invention also relates to a method using such a moisture tester.

  • Patent number: 5181616
Abstract: A grain processor for separating and measuring components of a sample of grain as it passes through a rotary sieve having two or more sieving sections having different perforations. The separated particles in each of the sieving sections are passed through a densimetric column containing a stream of pressure-adjustable air generated by a blower to remove impurities from the separated grain which is channeled into a weighing hopper which measures the weight of the grain or impurities and registers the information in a unit provided with data processing and recording circuits, including a microprocessor. Tachometers provide rotational speed pulses to rotation control circuits in the unit which provides an input to motor controllers associated with the motors driving the fans and the rotary sieve. Each of the rotation control circuits is provided with a motor-driven potentiometer coupled to an optical coded disc which provides an output to adjacently-positioned optical heads providing an input into the unit.
