Abstract: Method for improving drying of a concentrated acid salmon silage, during preparation of a protein supplement for animal feed, from salmon silage, wherein in a continuous and sequential form includes treating the stored salmon silage through steps of cooking, separation, concentration, drying, grinding, addition of antioxidant, and packing, wherein after the concentration step, the following steps proceed: a) incorporating in a first mixer an amount of concentrated acid salmon silage, and an amount of flour-type carrier, obtaining an homogeneous mixture; b) incorporating in a second mixer an additional amount of concentrated acid salmon silage, an amount from the first mixer, and a fraction of the load coming out of the dryer, the latter as a recycle; c) transferring the mixture formed in the second mixer to a dryer; d) recycling a fraction of the load, equivalent to the amount that can be from 30% to 60% of the output of the second mixer, fraction defined in function of the humidity at the exit of the dryer;

Abstract: A capsule for making beverages comprising at least one powdered food substance which can be extracted using water to make a beverage, comprises a cup-shaped outer body (2) with a lower wall (3) and a first side wall (4), a lid (6), a filtering body (9) comprising a first basket-shaped rigid or semi-rigid skeleton (10) with a second side wall (11) and a bottom portion (12); the first rigid or semi-rigid skeleton (10) comprises openings (13) made at least through a part of the second side wall (11) which is distanced from the first side wall; the filtering body (9) also comprising at least one layer (26) of flexible filtering material applied to the rigid or semi-rigid skeleton (10) for in use intercepting the beverage which comes out of at least some openings (13) of the filtering body (9) and flows towards the bottom wall (3) and for filtering said beverage.

Abstract: A capsule (1) for making beverages comprises a powdered food substance, and comprises a body (2) having a lower wall (3) and a side wall (4), and a lid (6) fixed to an edge (5) of the side wall (4). Between the lid (6) and the inner surface of the body (2) there is a chamber in which a rigid or semi-rigid filter (10) is positioned, coupled at a coupling portion (14) located on the side wall (4) close to the edge (5). The filter (10) extends between a rim (12) positioned close to the lid (6) and coupled to the coupling portion (14), and a bottom portion (13) positioned close to the lower wall (3), and separates the chamber into a first compartment (15), containing the substance, delimited at least between the filter (10) and the lid (6), and into a second compartment (16) partly positioned between the side wall (4) and the filter (10), delimited between the filter (10), the lower wall (3) and the portion of side wall (4) located between the lower wall (3) and the coupling portion (14).

Abstract: A capsule for making a drink comprises a cup-shaped main body (6) forming a housing chamber (7) containing a powdered or liquid substance (2). The main body (6) comprises a bottom wall (8) and a lateral wall (9) which has a lower portion (10) connected to the bottom wall (8) and an upper portion (11) delimiting an opening which is closed by a cover element (17). The capsule also comprises lengthening means (18) which, following an increase in the capsule (1) internal pressure, allow a movement away from the cover element (17) by the lower portion (10) of the lateral wall (9) and the bottom wall (8) connected to it.

Abstract: A bidirectional tape transport for tapes stored in cassettes providing fast forward and fast rewind functions. Fast forward and rewind are achieved by actuating controls which increase the motor speed and also release the tape from a capstan drive and the playback and recording head so that it may move freely at the fast speed. For fast rewind, the polarity of the supply voltage to the motor is reversed and those components of the bidirectional drive and the drive train to the reel spindles are reversed in such a way as to drive the supply spindle. Such operations are achieved by energizing a single solenoid by means of an electrical pulse produced by a switch actuated by the fast rewind control. The switch is so positioned that it will be actuated once during the advance stroke as the fast rewind control is pressed and once in the return stroke of the control.
