  • Patent number: 8248955
Abstract: Each of a plurality of serially-connected data transmission apparatuses comprises a first shift register, a fault-detecting circuit and a second shift register. The second shift register is configured to receive a second serial input signal and generate an output signal according to a clock signal. The fault-detecting circuit is configured to select one of the outputs of the second shift register and a first serial input signal based on the fault-detecting result. The first shift register is configured to receive the output of the fault-detecting circuit and generate an output according to the clock signal. The second serial input signal is equal to the first serial input signal of at least one preceding stage, and the first serial input signal is equal to the output serial signal of the preceding stage. One purpose of the present invention is to maintain continuous transmission of the serial data when a failure of the serially-connected data transmission apparatus occurs.

  • Publication number: 20120038283
Abstract: The present invention relates to a light emitting diode (LED) driving system and a circuit thereof. The LED driving circuit is configured to control a direct voltage converter configured to generate a regulated output voltage to an input terminal of an LED array. The LED array has a plurality of LED sets. The LED driving circuit includes a plurality of current sources, a comparison circuit and a current setup circuit. The plurality of current sources are connected to a plurality of output terminals of the LED array, and are configured to provide a current flowing through the plurality of LED sets. The comparison circuit is connected to a plurality of output terminals of the LED array, and is configured to generate an analog or digital feedback signal representing a status of the supply voltage for the LED array. The current setup circuit is configured to set up the initial current value of the current sources.

Abstract: A lighting apparatus receives a regulated AC line voltage as an input voltage and comprises a light emitting diode array and a driving circuit. The light emitting diode array is composed of at least one light emitting diode set connected in parallel. The driving circuit has a plurality of outputs corresponding to the light emitting diode sets, and each output has a predetermined value for controlling the brightness of the light emitting diode set. Each light emitting diode set is conducted automatically and in sequence for a fixed time interval based on the output of the driving circuit and the amplitude of the regulated AC line voltage, and is turned off based on the predetermined signal of the driving circuit.
