Abstract: The invention relates to a device for imparting a non-explosive and a non-propulsive property to a rocket motor casing made from a composite material during a slow cook-off test, which consists of using a predetermined pyrotechnic pellet having an ignition temperature of at least 140.degree. C. but below the violent ignition temperature of the propellant material under slow cook conditions, whereby the composite material of said casing is significantly weakened in the predetermined temperature, causing a casing failure and a non-propulsive burning of the rocket motor. The predetermined pyrotechnic pellet is located on the inner surface and will ignite the propellant grain at a lower rate.

Abstract: An add-on armor system for releasable attachment to an external surface of a hull of a vehicle comprising a plurality of juxtaposed armor tiles. Each armor tile is releasably attached to the hull of the vehicle by means of a fastening assembly and has an attachment surface matching the hull portion to which it is attached. The fastening assembly is a snap-type assembly which has a first engagement member in form of a profiled shank and a second engagement member comprising a profiled socket serving as releasable catch for snappingly engaging the profiled shank. The fastening assembly further comprises a shock absorbing plate secured to the hull.

Abstract: A device for imparting non-explosive and non-propulsive properties to a warhead during a slow cook-off test, which comprises a pyrotechnic pellet located inside a tube having a predetermined ignition temperature of at least 130.degree. C. but below the violent ignition temperature of the material under slow cook-off conditions, whereby the venting holes present in the aft closure of said tube, are covered by a composite material that loses its strength below the predetermined temperature, causing a pressure relief and a non-propulsive burning of said warhead.

Abstract: The present invention relates to paint compositions which provide a Chemical Agent Resitant Coating (CARC), consisting of one layer topcoat paint system, which imparts an increase in the reflectivity at the thermal infra-red region, while controlling the colour in the visible range and are maintaining a low gloss, comprising: an extender selected from polyolefins and substituted polyolefins; a pigment, selected from a metal oxide calcined at a temperature of above 600.degree. C. and a paste of metal flakes and any mixture thereof; a binder consisting of a modified polyurethane resulted from an isocyanate and a co-reactant possessing at least two hydroxy groups, and a solvent system to dissolve the components in the paint composition.

Abstract: A conversion kit for upgrading an existing fire control radar system having a target radar antenna for tracking a target to enable the system also to track, with respect to the target, a missile having a beacon transmitter. The conversion kit includes a missile antenna for measuring and commanding the missile, a mechanism for attaching the missile antenna to the target radar antenna of the fire control radar system, a command transmitter for transmitting command signals via the missile antenna to a missile, a beacon receiver for receiving from the missile, via the missile antenna, response signals from the missile beacon transmitter in response to the reception by the missile of the command signals, and a guidance computer for utilizing the command signals transmitted by command transmitter, and the response signals received from the missile beacon transmitter, and target tracking signals received from the fire control radar system, for tracking the missile and for guiding it to the target.

Abstract: A system for a cooler comprises: a heat exchange tube receiving a supply of pressurized gas, a gas escape aperture communicating with the interior of the heat exchange tube for permitting escape of the pressurized gas and expansion thereof during cooling mode, and a bypass assembly associated with said heat exchange tube and located after said gas escape aperture which during a cleaning mode enables most of the pressurized gas to exit the heat exchange tube without flowing through said gas escape aperture. The bypass assembly comprises a flush valve which is closed during said cooling mode and which is opened during said cleaning mode. According to a preferred embodiment, the heat exchange tube is helically wound over a cylindrical core and installed inside an insulated housing. The system may also be utilized as a gas purity tester, optionally with an additional gas pressure regulator, wherein a sensor will indicate the extent of the gas purity.
