  • Patent number: 11687717
Abstract: Disclosed herein are computer-implement systems and methods for determining whether an electronic document transiting a computer network is safe for viewing and does not contain malicious code, and automatically routing or deleting such electronic document based on such determination, thus providing quick risk decisions relating to the electronic document using an objective, quantitative method. A search algorithm is employed to detect the presence of words or phrases in the subject electronic document that are possible threats to the computer network. Threat updates may be provided through publicly available threat database. A weight is added to the generated score that accounts for the time that the particular vulnerability has been in the subject threat database. • Patent number: 11687778
Abstract: Detection of synthetic content in portrait videos, e.g., deep fakes, is achieved. Detectors blindly utilizing deep learning are not effective in catching fake content, as generative models produce realistic results. However, biological signals hidden in portrait videos which are neither spatially nor temporally preserved in fake content, can be used as implicit descriptors of authenticity. 99.39% accuracy in pairwise separation is achieved. A generalized classifier for fake content is formulated by analyzing signal transformations and corresponding feature sets. Signal maps are generated, and a CNN employed to improve the classifier for detecting synthetic content. Evaluation on several datasets produced superior detection rates against baselines, independent of the source generator, or properties of available fake content.

  • Patent number: 11684274
Abstract: A system and method is presented for cuff-less blood pressure measurement in a mobile device. A key aspect of this disclosure is the discovery of a new location for blood pressure measurement at the fingertip of a subject and that reflectance-mode photoplethysmography can be used to help make this measurement. Through experiments in human subjects, it was discovered that it is indeed possible to measure systemic blood pressure by having a subject press the fingertip against a reflectance-mode photo-plethysmography-force sensor unit under visual guidance and then compute blood pressure from the resulting variable-amplitude blood volume oscillations and applied pressure via an oscillometric algorithm.
