Patents Assigned to STAUBLI BAYREUTH GMBH
  • Patent number: 11795589
Abstract: This rapier is for drawing-in a weft yarn into a shed of a weaving loom (2), along a drawing-in path. The rapier includes a rapier head (206) mounted at one end of the rapier, which extends along a main longitudinal is driven, along the drawing-in path, by a drive. Also included is a clamp (320) for catching a weft yarn, with the clamp being mounted in the rapier head, operable between an open and closed configuration. The rapier includes an electric motor, (208) mounted on the body for actuating the clamp and a mechanism (260-328) for transforming an output movement of the motor, which is a rotation around an axis (A208) parallel to the main longitudinal axis, into an opening or a closing movement of the clamp.

  • Patent number: 11718931
Abstract: This weaving machine (2) is for simultaneously weaving top and bottom pile fabrics (F2, F4) presenting some pile patterns (P2, P2?, P4) and including tufts, made from warp yarns (24), binding warp yarns (14, 16) and inwoven weft yarns. This machine includes a pile warp yarns feeding unit (20), a binding warp yarns feeding unit (18), a shedding unit (6) and a weft insertion unit (8) for inserting the weft yarns in the shed. The machine also includes a beating-up mechanism (32), a take up system (70), a drawing-in unit (26), and a control unit (80). A treatment unit (90) is located, along a path of the pile warp yarns (24), between the pile warp yarns feeding unit (20) and the shedding unit (6), for applying different segments of treatment on at least some of the pile warp yarns (24).

  • Patent number: 11505881
Abstract: A weaving loom produces a fabric (F), with warp yarns and in-woven weft yarns. The weaving loom includes a warp delivery unit, heddles to form a shed, a shedding mechanism for moving each heddle vertically along a vertical path, a weft insertion means for inserting each weft yarn in a shed and for releasing each weft yarn at a given location along a weft axis, and a weft delivery means for delivering each weft yarn to the weft insertion means. The weaving loom also includes a programmable clamping means for picking up a first end of each weft yarn and for releasing each weft yarn at any predetermined position along the weft axis, and a programmable mechanism including actuators for semi-closing the shed around the inserted weft yarn at any predetermined position along the weft axis.

  • Patent number: 11486066
Abstract: A weaving loom for weaving a multilayer fabric with weft insertion mechanism (90) and main heddles moved by a Jacquard main shedding mechanism for guiding main warp yarns (12) and defining a main harness width (W11). According to the invention, the weaving loom includes auxiliary heddles (21) moved by an auxiliary shedding mechanism, for guiding auxiliary warp yarns (22) and defining a clamping area (W21) arranged within the main harness width (W11). At a first pick, the auxiliary heddles are configured for closing the auxiliary shed of auxiliary warp yarns for clamping an inserted weft (100) while the main shed is still open.

  • Patent number: 11091857
Abstract: A method for simultaneously weaving, on a face-to-face weaving machine, two pile fabrics each including an area with and without pile. For a pick corresponding to the area without pile, a dead pile thread is placed between the backing fabric and a patterning weft and a dead pile thread is placed opposite the backing fabric with respect to the same patterning weft. An additional fabric is formed in the area without pile by the first and second dead pile threads woven with the patterning wefts, this additional fabric covering the backing fabric.
