  • Patent number: 6014989
Abstract: A device for connecting a heddle of a weaving loom to a harness cord which includes an endpiece adapted to be molded on an upper end of the heddle and which end piece forms an orifice for receiving one of the harness cords. A sheath is provided for surrounding a harness cord passing through the orifice to thereby provide a structure wherein interference between adjacent heddles is avoided.

  • Patent number: 5927347
Abstract: A shed-forming device for a weaving loom of the jacquard type in which a reciprocating vertical movement of two series of knives is effected from an input drive shaft which is drivingly connected through a cam mechanism to two longitudinal shafts disposed concentrically with respect to one another inside a rigid tube mounted between plates for supporting the shafts and wherein the cam mechanism transmits a reciprocating rotary movement from the input drive shaft to the two longitudinal shafts.

  • Patent number: 5881777
Abstract: A three position weave system selection device for a weaving loom which includes two superposed electromagnets adapted to be selectively activated to control the position of at least one lever articulated relative to the electromagnets. The at least one lever is provided with two magnetic armatures adapted to cooperate selectively with the two electromagnets so as to generate three positions of the at least one lever relative to two mobile hooks of a harness system of the weaving loom.

  • Patent number: 5862836
Abstract: Shed-forming devices for weaving mechanisms which create three positions of the warp threads in a Jacquard loom. The shed-forming devices include moveable spindle catches capable of being vertically displaced by knives driven in oppositely reciprocally oscillating motion. Each shed-forming device includes four moveable spindle catches which are adapted to be displaced in pairs by the knives. A first spindle catch of each pair is adapted to be supported by a second spindle catch of each pair. Each shed-forming device also includes five pulleys which are vertically aligned and are connected to the catches by funicular elements such that the five pulleys may be separated from each other in a variable manner depending upon the position of the four spindle catches.

  • Patent number: 5839481
Abstract: A procedure for the selection of the moveable hooks of a shed-forming mechanism (7) of a Jacquard type loom comprising at least one catch (9) displaced by a knife (10) between an upper dead point position, in which, or in the proximity of which, the hook may be immobilized by a selector device (15, 16), and a lower dead point position, characterized by exerting on the hook, either in its upper dead point position or in its proximity, a force tending to bring the hook to its lower dead point position. The device comprises elastic stops (20-23) for the hook (9) in its upper dead point position.

  • Patent number: 5819809
Abstract: Connecting devices for assembling the ends of helical springs with respect to other members wherein each connecting device includes at least two elastic branches adapted to frictionally engage with the end coils of a helical spring to thereby prevent the resonance of the spring when it is subjected to extension and compression. The connecting devices are particularly adapted for use for damping springs associated with the heddles in a weaving loom.

  • Patent number: 5743308
Abstract: A double-lift weave system comprising a plurality of hooks, each of which is provided with two arms mounted on a base and each of which includes a lift lip adapted to cooperate with one of the knives of two griffe frames moving in phase opposition in a reciprocating movement. The position of each lip is controlled in order to be selectively moveable with respect to a knife by an actuator disposed between the two arms. Each hook further includes two open shed heels which are controlled by the actuator and adapted to cooperate with open shed bars so as to be moveable with respect to the bars. The system is particularly applicable to weaving looms.

  • Patent number: 5570724
Abstract: A mechanism for controlling the reciprocating movement of griffe frames in a weaving loom which includes four crank arms which are mounted offset angularly with respect to one another to a driving shaft associated with the loom. Two short connecting rods and two long connecting rods are connected to the four crank arms with the two short connecting rods being pivotally mounted to one of the griffe frames and the two long connecting rods being mounted to the other of the griffe frames whereby rotation of the driving shaft causes a reciprocating movement of the griffe frames.
