  • Patent number: 5333652
Abstract: A movable hook of a shed-forming device for a weaving loom which includes a supple tongue which is urged toward engagement with the tip of a pivotable retention hook by a spring element mounted on the movable hook. The supple tongue is engageable with the retention hook to pivot an opposite end thereof into contact with an electromagnet which is selectively controlled to either retain the retention hook or release the retention hook to subsequently engage a notch in the movable hook spaced from the tongue and thereby retain the movable hook in fixed relationship to the retention hook.

  • Patent number: 4739806
Abstract: This invention relates to a device for forming the shed in a weaving loom, wherein the elements which constitute the system for lifting the warp yarns are, from top to bottom, an electro-magnet, two blades, two mobile hooks and a lifting beam. These elements are disposed one below the other between two vertical separating partitions constituting an assembly. A certain number of assemblies are assembled in a row so as to form a module which may be selectively inserted within the loom frame.

  • Patent number: 4702286
Abstract: This invention relates to the shed forming devices in weaving looms wherein each of the retaining hooks is in the form of an element which is pivotable about a horizontal pin with each element provided with a tail portion which is subjected to the reaction of a compression spring so that the head portion thereof lies in a rest position above the toe of a corresponding mobile hook. When the mobile hook causes a retaining hook to pivot so that its nose or head is in an outer position with respect to the toe, an electromagnet of the device may be selectively activated to retain the retaining hook in this outer position to thereby prevent the mobile hook from being restrained by the retaining hook.

  • Patent number: 4690178
Abstract: This invention is directed to improved mobile hooks for the shed forming device of weaving looms wherein the mobile hooks are disposed at each of the ends of a funicular element. Each hook includes a web bordered by a vertical heel disposed in a slideway formed by grooves made in two opposing separating partitions with the web including a toe adapted to be hooked by the curved ends of a conventional blade element which is utilized to maintain the hooks in their uppermost elevated position. The hooks further include portions which are adapted to be gripped by conventional knives as the knives are moved vertically in reciprocating motion and also a push element adapted to displace the hook retaining blade against the core of an electromagnet which is used to selectively urge the retaining hook into engagement with the mobile hook when the electromagnet is activated.

  • Patent number: 4529011
Abstract: In a weaving system in which the selection of the hooks is effected by rotation of their shanks so as to present their nose elements to the blades of the gripper frames or, on the contrary, to retract them, each hook comprises at its end a flat eyelet which, when it returns into its low rest position, engages in a depression with elliptic inlet in a bottom board and which tends to return it to the correct angular orientation corresponding to this position. In addition, to each eyelet is attached an elastic blade which passes through a slit in a guiding board and which acts in the manner of a return torsion spring to complete the effect of the depression.
