Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system for providing audience sentiment responses to an event and/or an item of media content. The audience sentiment responses are divided into at least four categories, including sentiments liking and disliking the event and/or the media content, and sentiments desiring more or less of the event and/or the media content. The system further provides analytics regarding audience sentiments, such as the times during the event and/or the points in the media content wherein audiences experienced the greatest shifts in one or more of the sentiment types.
