Publication number: 20160068294Abstract: Metal-walled vacuum flasks including tin phosphorus oxide sealing glass, and methods of sealing an exhaust aperture for a metal-walled vacuum flask, including disposing a tin phosphorus oxide sealing glass frit adjacent the exhaust aperture, applying a vacuum to the metal-walled vacuum flask; and raising a temperature of the sealing glass frit under the vacuum sufficiently that the sealing glass flows and seals the exhaust aperture.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 20, 2015Publication date: March 10, 2016Applicant: STEEL TECHNOLOGY, LLCInventors: Timothy Dryden GORBOLD, Matthew NAHLIK

Publication number: 20150336720Abstract: An embodiment of a cap for a bottle may comprise a body and nozzle. The body may include an annular wall, an aperture configured to receive a nozzle, and a plug rigidly attached within the aperture. The nozzle may be movable between a retracted position in which fluid cannot pass between plug and nozzle, and an extended position in which fluid can pass between plug and nozzle. The nozzle may include an inner wall and an outer wall. The outer wall may have at least one longitudinal recess. The longitudinal recess may allow selective passage of air. The longitudinal recess may allow air to flow through the recess and into the bottle when the nozzle is in the extended position, and is contained within the aperture and is thus configured to prevent air from flowing through the recess and into the bottle when the nozzle is in the retracted position.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2015Publication date: November 26, 2015Applicant: STEEL TECHNOLOGY, LLCInventor: Timothy Dryden GORBOLD

Publication number: 20140076464Abstract: This is a process for the production of specialty electric steel, particularly grain oriented electrical steel, and more particularly, grain oriented silicon electrical steel. The steel can be formed starting from a thin slab. The process can relate to a product formation route which enables efficient production with better yield and wider process control tolerance. The method can be employed for producing specialty electrical steel utilizes cheaper inputs, less energy, combines and overlaps production process steps, improves yields and product uniformity. This can be accomplished by making it more tolerant to a wider range of process parameters.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 16, 2013Publication date: March 20, 2014Applicant: Silicon Steel Technology, LLCInventor: Manu Rehani

Patent number: 6899773Abstract: An iron based, fine-grained, martensitic stainless steel essentially free of delta ferrite has a nominal composition of (wt. %): 0.05<C<0.15; 7.5<Cr<15; 2<Ni<5; Co<4; Cu<1.2; Mn<5; Si<1; (Mo+W)<4; 0.01<Ti<0.75; 0.135<(1.17Ti+0.6Zr+0.31Ta+0.31Hf)<1; V<2; Nb<1; N<0.02; Al<0.2; Al and Si both present such that (Al+Si)>0.01; B<0.1; P<0.1; S<0.03; and the balance essentially iron and impurities. This steel is different from other martensitic stainless steels because thermal mechanical treatment is used to refine the grains and precipitate a relatively uniform dispersion of fine, coarsening-resistant, MX-type particles. The steel combines high strength and impact toughness with good corrosion resistance.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2003Date of Patent: May 31, 2005Assignee: Advanced Steel Technology, LLCInventor: Robert F.
