    Abstract: Step adapters for a rung ladder to provide increased support surface or area is described. In one embodiment, the step adapter includes brace, platform, lock and safety bar sections. The lock, safety bar and platform sections structurally engage a rung of a ladder, and the brace section supports the adapter against rails of a ladder so that the step adapter provides an extended step structure to ease standing on the ladder. In another embodiment, the step adapter includes brace, platform and lock sections, where the platform section side edges are configured to lock the step adapter in place on a rung of a ladder. A tray overlay can be used in combination with the step adapter (which serves as support) to provide an area for holding work-related items. The step adapter can also include a securing element as an additional safety feature to anchor the adapter to a ladder.

    Abstract: An applicator for use in cleaning surfaces, comprising: a bottom surface; a handle disposed above the bottom surface; means for releasably attaching a pad to the bottom surface; and an actuator, accessible from the handle, for actuating the means for releasably attaching the pad to the bottom surface. The means for releasably attaching preferably has a plurality of feet which move between a first position within the applicator to a second position outside the applicator. When the feet are in the second position they can contact a cleaning pad. The feet include means (such as a hook-and-loop fastener) for gripping the cleaning pad, so that when the feet are in the second position, which is the at-rest position, they grip the cleaning pad. When the feet are moved to the first position, they release the pad, allowing for the disposal thereof without having to touch the soiled pad.

    Abstract: A pair of covers for the side walls of a pickup truck consist of an outer panel cover and an inner panel cover removably attached along an edge. The outer panel cover overlies the outside face of the side wall and the top rail, and fastens to the bottom edge of the side wall with specially shaped plastic hooks. The inner panel cover removably attaches to wall fasteners that in turn permanently attach to the inside face of the side wall forming part of the cargo bed. The two sides of the inner panel cover are made of materials with different textures, to allow the user a choice of surfaces for lining the bed. A number of tie-down straps provide points for securing a load in the bed. A strip of reinforcing material is attached to the outer panel cover along the section covering the top rail, and provides both stress relief and an attaching surface for the tie-down straps.

    Abstract: An underwater flower stem cutter having a U-shaped frame adapted to fit into a mobile flower container which is partially filled with water. Securing means are arranged on a wall of the frame for securing it to a wall of the container in a position in which the frame is partially submerged in the water but is slightly spaced from the floor of the container. The securing means comprise an L-shaped bracket arranged across a rear wall of the frame with thumb screws extending through the bracket to secure the U-shaped frame to the container wall. A stem locator is secured to the frame in a submerged condition and substantially parallel with the floor. The locator comprises a pair of spaced arms extending from a body portion. Said arm are laterally separated by a cutting edge. A pair of pusher rollers are respectively arranged above and below the locator and are adapted to reciprocate transversely of the spaced arms.

    Abstract: An aerobic step device comprising a platform and a detachable leg assemblies for maintaining the platform at selected heights above a support surface. The platform has a skirt depending from the edges of a top, flat rectangular surface. Each leg assembly includes a pair of laterally extending arms, each of which have a protrusion which engages a selected one of at least a pair of slots that are provided on the inner surface of opposed sides of the skirt, the slots being longitudinally and vertically offset from each other. The height of the platform depends into which slot the protrusion is received into. Ribs and locking tabs depend from the underside of the top surface of the platform to engage respective channels and openings in the leg assemblies in order to stabilize the device in its operative positions.
