Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for constructing a rotatable label and attaching the rotatable label to a container. The rotatable label system comprises an inner label attached to the container and a rotatable outer label. The inner label may have adhesive on a rear surface of a trailing end alone, adhesive on a rear surface of both the leading and trailing end for fixedly attaching it to a container, or adhesive on the entire rear surface. The outer label may only have adhesive on a rear surface at or near a trailing end to secure the outer label to itself. The outer label is temporarily coupled to, the container while the outer label is wrapped around the container. Once the trailing end is attached to a front surface of the outer label at or near a leading end of the outer label, the outer label can be rotated about the container over the inner label.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for constructing a rotatable label and attaching the rotatable label to a container. The rotatable label may have a transparent portion and is temporarily secured to a container or an inner label that is permanently secured to the container via a temporary adhesive disposed on a leading edge of the rotatable label's back surface. Permanent adhesive is disposed on the trailing edge of the rotatable label's back surface. The rotatable label is then wrapped around the container so that the trailing edge of the rotatable label's back surface comes in contact with the rotatable label's front surface. The rotatable label is then rotated with respect to the inner label or container, thereby breaking the temporary bond formed by the temporary adhesive between the rotatable label and inner label or container. Alternatively, temporary adhesive may be disposed on the trailing edge of the rotatable label's back surface to allow the rotatable label to be easily removed from the container.

Abstract: A rotatable label system includes a pharmaceutical container and a label arranged about the pharmaceutical container. The label has an inner label portion affixed to the pharmaceutical container and an outer label portion rotatable positioned about the inner label portion. At least one window or transparent section is provided on the outer label portion. Generic and custom imprinted indicia is disposed on the inner and outer label portions. By rotating the outer label portion relative to the inner label portion and the container, written indicia imprinted on the inner label portion is viewable through the window or transparent section.

The shell has a tamper-evident portion which extends over at least a portion of the closure to prevent its removal. The remainder of the shell comprises a rotatable label portion having indicia disposed thereon. The rotatable label portion is provided with at least one transparent window through which co-located indicia disposed on an inner label affixed to the container may be viewed. The rotatable label portion is rotatable relative to the container about a vertical axis thereof to enable viewing of a selected subset of the indicia disposed on the inner label. At least one perforation line divides the tamper-evident portion of the shell from the rotatable label portion and facilitates detachment of the tamper-evident portion.

The rotatable label is rotatable relative to the drinking vessel about a vertical axis thereof to enable viewing of a selected subset of the indicia disposed on the drinking vessel. Surface features and contours of the drinking vessel maintain the rotatable label longitudinally upon the drinking vessel.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for attaching a radially expandable rotatable label to a container. The expandable rotatable label is radially expanded and then longitudinally advanced over the container. After being expanded, the expandable label is permitted to contract into a tight, rotatable relationship with the container. The expandable rotatable label is preferably adapted with a transparent window portion to permit viewing of indicia disposed underneath the rotatable label. By rotating the expandable label relative to the container, a user can view written indicia disposed on the container or on an inner label affixed to the container.

The rotatable label includes a release tab releasably attached to an outer label.
