Abstract: This disclosure is directed to an interior fiberglass door and methods of manufacturing the same. The interior fiberglass door can include first and second fiberglass doorskins attached to first and second sides of a frame, respectively. Each of the first and second fiberglass doorskins can include an outer portion and a panel portion recessed from the outer portion. The interior fiberglass door can include a spacer between the panel portions of the first and second fiberglass doorskins and foam between the outer portions of the first and second fiberglass doorskins. Each of the first and second fiberglass doorskins can include a sticking transition between the outer portion and the panel portion, the sticking transition defining an angle relative to a plane of the outer portion of greater than about 70 degrees.

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a moulding including a locator (e.g., a projection). The locator can assist in positioning the moulding relative to a frame, for example, a door or window frame, during installation of the moulding. Additionally, the moulding can include a recess that can receive a locator (e.g., projection) of an adjacent moulding to allow multiple mouldings to be packaged in a space-saving manner. The moulding can be a brickmould.

Abstract: A method for assembling a door unit installation kit, together with a container that allows the kit to be conveniently packaged and displayed. The kit includes a door, jambs and other parts, designed to permit installation of a left or right-handed door, or inward or outward opening door. The container is characterized by at least a cardboard top and cardboard bottom piece that holds these door unit parts together. The cardboard pieces are folable into place around the door unit and have cut-out portions at appropriate locations to hold the door unit part securely in place. The kit is assembled by folding and inserting tabs into locking tab inserts of the container's pieces, and inserting the door unit parts therein.
