  • Publication number: 20230326587
Abstract: A method for developing codes and a cross functional set of rules that suggest to a physician, in real-time, potential diagnoses related to diagnostic results or other clinical data entered into the electronic Medical Record (EMR). The method generates a possible diagnosis for consideration and addition to the patient problem list. When the physician selects a suggested diagnosis, the problem list is automatically updated with the diagnosis. In view of the above, the physician has the needed information at the point of care so that the timeliness, safety and quality of care is improved. The generated documentation also assists other physicians throughout the continuum of care for the Patient. The method creates crosswalk from data element to diagnosis to enhance the completeness of documentation. As a result, the Diagnostic Related Group (DRG) is more accurately assigned by coders at discharge to drive more accurate and efficient billing for improved reimbursement and revenue.

  • Publication number: 20130243733
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, EC progenitors can be used in a method for regulating angiogenesis, i.e., enhancing or inhibiting blood vessel formation, in a selected patient and in some preferred embodiments for targeting specific locations. For example, the EC progenitors can be used to enhance angiogenesis or to deliver an angiogenesis modulator, e.g. anti- or pro-angiogenic agents, respectively to sites of pathologic or utilitarian angiogenesis. Additionally, in another embodiment, EC progenitors can be used to induce reendothelialization of an injured blood vessel, and thus reduce restenosis by indirectly inhibiting smooth muscle cell proliferation.

  • Publication number: 20100183816
Abstract: A method for making ferrite powder may include providing ferrite feed materials in a form of particles, such as having different sizes and irregular shapes. The method may further include exposing the ferrite feed materials to a low velocity oxygen-fueled (LVOF) flame spray. This may provide a more spherical shape to irregularly shaped particles to thereby make the ferrite powder. An apparatus for making ferrite powder may include a feeder for ferrite feed materials and a LVOF flame spray system for exposing the ferrite feed materials to the flame spray.
