    Abstract: One aspect of the invention is a method and system for auditing transaction documents that includes searching a database to identify transaction documents satisfying at least one query criteria. The transaction documents are pre-loaded in a temporary storage space, and a first transaction document is displayed to a user. A user input is received from the user. In response to receiving the user input, at least one operation is performed on the first transaction document. A second transaction document is automatically displayed to the user without further user input.

A second user command is received from the computer identifying the assent of the notary user to the certification of the at least one electronic document. Official indicia associated with the notary user is applied to the at least one electronic document to create at least one certified document.
