Abstract: Apparatus for heating water in a reservoir, comprising a pipe system including at least one supply conduit, at least part of which pipe system is disposed in the vicinity of the surface of the water in the reservoir, means for supplying hot air through the supply conduit to the pipe system, a plurality of open-ended tubules of flexible material or hoses being secured in spaced relationship to the pipes of the pipe system, the open ends of which tubules or hoses are located under the water surface.
Abstract: A heat storage apparatus comprising a plurality of heat exchanger elements mounted in a housing. Each element has a central portion containing a storage medium, surrounded by portions through which a first and a second heat transfer fluid can be passed in heat contact with said storage medium. Means are provided for passing the heat transfer fluids from respective supply conduits through the apparatus through the respective portions of the heat exchanger elements to respective discharge conduits.
Abstract: Apparatus for utilizing solar heat for heating a building, comprising a collector, a storage unit and means for transporting heated air from the collector to the storage unit and hence to rooms in the building, the apparatus being installed in the building so that the heat storage unit adjoins at least some of the rooms to be heated and comprises conduits terminating in said rooms.
Abstract: A solar heat collector consisting essentially of metal sections. The collector may be integrated with a heat storage medium, for example a concrete slab. Furthermore the collector may be provided with separate channel systems for passing heat from the collector to the various rooms of a house.
