  • Patent number: 5611638
Abstract: At least two connecting elements are fastened to the patient support and are insertable into pin receivers of the column and carriage. Each connecting element has two latching elements each movable between a latching position and an unlatching position, and during relative movement between the transport carriage and the support column resulting in the transfer of the patient support from the column to the transport carriage, or the reverse, each connecting element becomes received at the same time in a column pin receiver and a carriage pin receiver. Each receiver has a detent recess for receiving one of the latching elements of a received connecting element in its latching position and a control surface associated with the other latch element of the received connecting element which control surface upon the reception of the connecting element transfers this latching element to its unlatched position.

  • Patent number: 5154562
Abstract: A transport carriage for transporting an operating table (20) including a support column (18) and a table plate (26) removable from the support column has a movable chassis (10) and two supporting spars (24) intended to support the table plate. The supporting spars are arranged in spaced parallel relationship to one another on the movable chassis (10) in such a way that they are capable of being brought into a supporting position with the table plate (26) at which they are located on opposite sides of the support column. The transport carriage is further equipped with supporting elements (28,30) for engagement with the support column of the operating table and located on both sides of the intermediate space between the supporting spars (28). These supporting elements are each movable between a supporting position in which it underlies a part fixed to the support column (32) and a free position.

  • Patent number: 5083331
Abstract: A mobile patient support system includes a table plate, a support column for supporting the table plate and a transport carriage for transporting the table plate. Two pin-shaped connecting elements arranged on the table plate are receivable in complementary pin receivers of the support column for connection therewith. The table plate is transferrable by relative motion between the transport carriage and the support column from the support column to the transport carriage and the reverse. The table plate and the support column on one hand are provided with latching means and the table plate and the support column on the other hand are likewise supplied with latching means for exchangeable engagement with one another. On each connecting element are at least two latching members supported for movement between a latching position and a free position, and during the transfer process they are simultaneously insertable in a pin receiver of the column and a pin receiver of the transfer carriage.

  • Patent number: 4552346
Abstract: An operating table for operations on extended extremities of patients includes a frame 10, a support plate 18 and a counterbar 32 at one end of the support plate 18 for propping the patient. Two vertical receiving openings 64, in which the counterbar 32 can be selectively inserted, are arranged outwardly from the longitudinal middle plane of the support plate 18, whereby the operation field is increased for better transmission of X-rays and whereby the counterbar 32 may also be used as a groin support for a patient lying on his side. The vertical receiving openings 64 are formed in an adaptor 84 which also similarly has transversely directed receiving openings 92,94 for supplemental devices laterally attached to the end of the support plate 18 and longitudinally directed receiving openings 104,106 for supplemental plates which effect a lengthening of the support plate 18.

  • Patent number: 4125907
Abstract: A device for transferring recumbent hospital patients from one location to another is constructed with a platform assembly mounted on a support member to be moveable within a horizontal transfer plane between two end positions equidistantly located on opposite sides of the support member. The platform assembly includes a pair of superposed rectangular separator plates each having a conveyor apron trained thereabout. Drive means are provided for shifting the platform assembly between its end positions within the horizontal transfer plane and also for selectively driving the conveyor aprons. The separator plates have attached thereto lateral check members extending along the sides of the platform assembly in directions parallel to the directions of movement of the assembly. Guide devices are mounted on opposite sides of the support member and arranged in engagement with the lateral cheek members of the platform assembly in order to guide the assembly for shifting movement within the horizontal transfer plane.

  • Patent number: 3986345
Abstract: A device for recovering heat from dishwashing machines, especially dishwashing machines of the type in which dishes to be washed enter the dishwashing machine through an opening in one side and are removed from the dishwashing machine from an opening in the opposite side of the machine. The device has air inlet means positioned to receive heated air from the openings in the dishwashing machine and conveys the air via duct work through a heat exchanger. The heat pump compresses coolant fluid which then flows through condenser means and then to the evaporator wherein the heat exchange with the air occurs and then back to the pump. Water undergoes heat exchange with the coolant fluid in the condenser means and this water may be used during the dishwasher cycle. Control means control the supply of coolant fluid to the evaporator and the starting and stopping of the drive motor for the pump.
