    Abstract: The invention relates to a check valve which in one embodiment is a modular three-piece valve assembly with easily serviceable and replaceable internal parts, and in another embodiment is a nodular two-piece valve with easily serviceable and replaceable internal parts. In each embodiment, the check valve includes a valve body of two or more pieces detachably attached to each other, and a poppet assembly for sealing the valve removably located within the overall body formed by the attachment of those detachably attached pieces.
