According to the invention, the method comprises: the step of receiving at least one instance of at least one model of a profiled multimedia scene adapted to a predetermined profile of users having at least one common parameter and from a loom server; the step of storing in said content proxy said at least one instance of said at least one model of profiled multimedia scene.

Abstract: A method is provided for tracking at least one use of at least one piece of multimedia content on a terminal connected to a communication network. The piece of content is transmitted to the terminal in the form of at least one description file generated according to a predetermined description format. The method includes using the piece of content by a user of the terminal, including activation of at least one interaction element; implementing at least one instruction followed by the use associated with the activated interaction element; executing the use tracking instruction controlling storage of at least one piece of information concerning the activation of the interaction element, or use tracking information; and transmitting by the terminal the piece of use tracking information to a tracking terminal in charge of processing the use tracking information.

Abstract: A method is provided for managing memory in a mobile communication terminal suitable for processing information representing a multimedia scene that comes in the form of a multimedia content having multimedia elements. The method includes a step of receiving the multimedia scene and the following steps that are implemented simultaneously: a step of rendering the scene in continuous or progressive loading mode on the terminal; and a step of storing a portion of the multimedia content representing the multimedia scene, the portion being pre-identified in the multimedia content.

Abstract: A method is provided for creating at least one multimedia scene intended to be restored on a mobile radio communication terminal. The multimedia scene includes a plurality of multimedia objects organized in the form of at least one scene description tree. Such a method includes the following steps: associating with the scene description tree(s) a sub-tree of the objects to be restored, including objects intended to be restored at a given instant, and a standby sub-tree, including objects intended not to be restored at the given instance; identifying at least one object, termed the transferable object, that can be transferred from a first of the sub-trees to the second of the sub-trees as a function of at least one predetermined transfer condition.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for broadcasting at least one complementary element corresponding to a content broadcast to a terminal. The method includes: applying, to at least one portion of the content, at least one index detection function, stored in a database, the detection function delivering an information cue regarding the presence or absence of the index, providing at least one complementary element associated with the index, if a presence cue is emitted; and combining the content and the at least one complementary element, thereby delivering a complete content.

Abstract: A method is provided for managing communication channels for transmission of multimedia contents from at least one server to at least one radio communication terminal. The method includes: transmitting a first content through a first channel; progressively rendering the first content in a terminal; issuing via the terminal a request for a second content, the request including a control datum indicating whether the second content is to be transmitted through the first channel or through a second channel; and progressively rendering the second content.

Abstract: A method is provided for transmitting at least one content representative of a service, from a server to a terminal. Such a method includes a preliminary preparation phase of the service and a phase of transmitting. The preliminary preparation phase includes a step of providing the service by a creator, in the form of a textual description comprising a text portion and at least one program instruction, and a step of translating, in a compilation environment, the textual description of the service into a service program, including executable instructions. The phase of transmitting the content to the terminal, includes, on receipt of a request by the terminal, a step of executing the service program on the server, delivering the content in the form of binary data, and a step of transmitting the binary data to the terminal.

Abstract: A method is provided for creating a multimedia scene including at least one object animation, designed to be reproduced on at least one radio communication terminal. At least one of the animations is associated with a non-temporal animation variable, representing a state of at least one object of the scene, of at least one element of the terminal, and/or a state of at least one associated communication network. The variable provides a time-based function for the animation. A method is also provided for reproducing a multimedia scene comprising at least one object animation, on a radio communication terminal.

Abstract: A method is provided for restitution of at least one multimedia scene, having at least two objects, on a display of a radio communication terminal. The method includes: determining an orientation of the display relative to a user; reorganizing the arrangement of the objects constituting the multimedia scene, based on the orientation and on at least one arrangement data present in the scene; and restitution of the reorganized multimedia scene on the viewing device.

Abstract: A method is provided for managing fonts in a radio communication terminal, which can receive fonts in order to render contents on a screen. One such method involves the use of the following elements in the terminal, namely: a font database that lists all of the fonts or font portions stored by the terminal and matches at least one management parameter with each of the fonts; and a set of font management commands, which is transmitted in a multimedia data flow.

Abstract: A method is provided for transmitting a multimedia content from a server to a radiocommunication terminal, wherein the content comprises at least one multimedia, called initial, scene, and a series of instructions for moving the initial scene. The method includes transmitting an initial portion of the content to server to the terminal, recording and reconstructing the initial portion on the terminal, transmitting at least one complementary portion of the content from the server to the terminal in the form of a complement to at least one portion previously received by the terminal in response to the request thereof, recording the complementary position, and reconstructing the multimedia scene updated according to the request from the portions previously received by the terminal.

Abstract: A method is provided for restoring graphic animation content including the following steps: in a receiver terminal; transmitting a request for retrieving the content; and obtaining at least one graphic scene of the content describing at least the spatio-temporal arrangement between the graphic objects of the content. The content further includes at least one function for managing structured data allowing interaction with a database of structured data. The method further includes: querying the database, based on at least one command present in the graphic scene and associated with the functions(s) for managing structured data; obtaining structured data derived from the database; integrating the structured data in the graphic scene; and restoring the graphic scene.

Abstract: A method is provided for managing fonts in a radio communication terminal, which can receive fonts in order to render contents on a screen. Abstract: A method is provided for optimisation of the management of a server cache for dynamic pages, which may be consulted by client terminals with differing characteristics which requires the provision of discrete versions of a dynamic page in the cache. When a terminal requests a dynamic page, a verification step—for the presence of at least one version of the dynamic page in the cache is carried out, such that if the verification is positive the following complementary steps are carried out: procurement of a set of characteristics specific to the type of client terminal, determination of a subset of necessary characteristics from amongst the specific characteristics for the reproduction of the dynamic page on a client terminal, search, among the version(s) of the dynamic page in the cache for a suitable version using the subset of necessary characteristics and allocation of the suitable version to the client terminal.

Abstract: A method is provided for controlling the interface of a plurality of types of radiocommunications terminals. The method includes defining a set of abstract events, each of which correspond to a predefined interface-independent generic and functional interaction, such as for a given type of terminal, associating concrete events available and/or executable on the terminal to at least certain abstract events in such a way that it makes it possible to develop an application independently of the interface specificities of each type of terminal and to homogeneously carry out all applications developed with the aid of abstract events on a given terminal.

Abstract: A method is provided for constructing multimedia scenes, which are intended to be reproduced on at least one terminal, including at least one multimedia object which can be assigned properties for controlling the behavior thereof in said scene. At least one of the scenes has at least one object, known as the pointer object, which is assigned a pointer property such that it reacts to actions performed by a terminal user, including: at least one action involving the selection of an object and/or the activation of a pre-determined operation that is associated with an object; and at least on action involving the movement of the pointer object, such as to simulate the operation of a pointer on any terminal, even if the terminal is not equipped with corresponding control.
