  • Publication number: 20120055460
Abstract: An internally adjustable damper for use in a commercial kitchen includes a housing having a sidewall defining an interior, a first open end, and a second open end in fluid communication with the first open end. A damper blade is disposed within the housing and is rotatable about an axis of rotation to allow a selectable air flow resistance. An arch extends from the damper blade and adjacent to the sidewall, the arch being symmetric about the axis of rotation. A threaded stud extends from the sidewall into the interior of the housing and is disposed adjacent the arch. A fastener is operatively coupled to the threaded stud, wherein the fastener is adapted to selectively press down against the arch, thereby fixing the location of the damper blade, and retract from the arch, thereby allowing the damper blade to rotate about the axis of rotation. The fastener and the baffle are accessible from inside the housing through either the first open end or the second open end.

  • Publication number: 20120055275
Abstract: A combination kitchen hood and electronic component enclosure is disclosed. The kitchen hood includes a recess into which kitchen effluents are drawn. The electronic component enclosure is operatively coupled to the kitchen hood and includes a container and a cover removably attachable to the container to seal the electronic component enclosure. The electronic component enclosure defines an interior. The cover is accessible from inside the recess. Upon removal of the cover from the container, the interior of the electronic component enclosure is exposed to the recess, and upon attachment of the cover to the container, the interior of the electronic component enclosure is sealed from the recess.

  • Publication number: 20100126494
Abstract: An exhaust hood and related methods for exhausting fumes are disclosed. The exhaust hood comprises a housing forming a collection region having an entry portion and an upper portion disposed above the entry portion, an exhaust inlet coupled with the housing and configured to draw air from the entry and upper portions, and a supply assembly coupled with the housing and configured to output a flow of supply air. The supply assembly is configured to direct a first portion of the supply air across the collection region generally towards the exhaust inlet and direct a second portion of the supply air generally downward away from the collection area. The directed first portion of the supply air divides the collection region into the entry and upper portions. The portion of the supply air directed into at least the first portion or the second portion can be adjustable.
