Abstract: To improve a control circuit for the power-controlled operation of a load, comprising a semiconductor switch which is effective in a load circuit and comprising a drive circuit for the semiconductor switch, which generates a control signal, comprising drive pulses following one after the other and separated by interpulse periods, for controlling the said semiconductor switch in a part-load range, in such a way that as little heat as possible is generated, it is proposed that the control signal should generate in an upper part-load range a first pulse signal, with first individual pulses following one another with a first pulse frequency, and a second pulse signal, with second individual pulses following one another with a second frequency, in the interpulse periods of the first pulse signal, and that the second frequency should be greater than the first frequency by at least a factor of 10.

  • Patent number: 5977743
Abstract: In order to provide a control device for controlling an inductive load connected to an output, comprising a control circuit which generates a pulse duration modulation signal, an FET final stage switch for connecting a supply current for the load, a switch-on stage and a switch-off stage for the switching on and off of a gate voltage of the final stage switch, and a gate voltage supply for the switch-on stage, with which a reliable connection of the FET final stage switch can be achieved with means which are as simple as possible it is suggested that the gate voltage supply have a charge pump circuit, comprising a diode located between a plus connection and a center tap in forward direction and a capacitor located between the center tap and a minus connection, that the center tap be connected to the switch-on stage and that a potential at the minus connection of the charge pump circuit alter in accordance with a potential at the output and thus the capacitor supply at the center tap a gate supply voltage whic

  • Patent number: 5329120
Abstract: In order to improve a sensor comprising an emitting element emitting a bundle of light rays in a direction of propagation, a receiving element receiving the bundle of light rays and having at least one receiving surface for the bundle of light rays, and an evaluating device generating an output signal of the sensor, such that exact determination of the deflection and the direction of deflection is possible, it is proposed that in each deflection position, a receiving surface be illuminated by only a partial bundle of rays of the bundle of light rays in the direction of deflection, that the receiving element generate for the receiving surface an integral intensity signal corresponding to the total intensity impinging upon this receiving surface and that the evaluating device detect the intensity signal and determine the deflection with a processor.

  • Patent number: 5325453
Abstract: In order to provide an optical signal transmission line for transmitting, for example, control, regulating and monitoring signals between units of a technical device, comprising a connection element adapted to be detached from the units and a light wave guide leading away from this connection element for transmitting optical information, which does not have the aforementioned disadvantages of the known detachable connection elements for light wave guides, it is suggested that the signal transmission line operate optoelectronically in that the connection element detachable from the units comprises a detachable electrical connection serving to provide a detachable connection between the signal transmission line and one of the units, that the connection element comprise a transformation unit arranged between the electrical connection and the light wave guide for converting electrical into optical signals and vice versa, and that the connection element keep the electrical connection, the transformation unit and t

  • Patent number: 5051716
Abstract: The electromagnetic relay, particularly an armature relay, includes a ferromagnetic yoke with a yoke wall, and a ferromagnetic coil core, which is mounted by inserting a neck portion thereof in a hole in the yoke wall, for example in a press fit. To provide a connection between the coil core and the yoke which is more permanent, a support for the coil core is provided on the yoke wall which includes a projection on the inner surface of the yoke wall and a recess in an outer surface of the yoke wall (4) on an opposing side from the projection on the inner surface (27). The projection (28) extends from the inner surface of the yoke wall toward a shoulder (32) of the coil core (7). The neck portion (6) of the coil core (7) extends into the recess (29) and a rivet (39) for fastening the neck portion (6) in the recess (29) of the support (26). The recess (29) and the projection (28) are approximately equal. A method of making the electromagnetic relay is also described.

  • Patent number: 4715822
Abstract: A central unit for interconnecting consumer circuits in a motor vehicle includes a pack of superposed insulating boards each supporting flat conductors. The conductors on the uppermost board are connected to a plurality of connector sockets for receiving connector plugs of the electric components. The flat conductors on respective insulating boards are electrically connected to flat connector pins projecting laterally from opposite sides of the pack. Two bridging connector plates are arranged parallel to the opposite sides of the pack and support bridging conductors for contacting different connector pins at different levels of the pack so as to provide a desired interconnection of the connector sockets.
